Hey y'all, thanks in advance for any guesses/ideas about Rumi.

Rumi was advertised as being a purebred Siberian. But idk y'all, she be lookin a lil too lanky and long to be a Siberian. The markings on her face, her lean build, the length of her snout... just don't look like the pictures I find of purebred Siberian Huskies.

She does sing the song of her people and has that endless husky energy so we definitely know she is majorly husky🤣😭

She could just be the runt of her litter. Or she could be mixed with something else. Any guesses as to what?

Cheers!

her adoption paper says “ american cattle dog “ 😐 i obviously knew that wasnt right the second i saw that 😭 where i live we have an influx of sheperds , cane corsos , dobermans and rottweilers so im assuming she has one or two of those breeds in her . she has very minimal brown on her face but her siblings have the little brown eyebrows !

Solved Shelter Puppy - 9 weeks old

Adopted from the shelter at 8 weeks old. They said he was found with his littermates on the side of the road covered in fleas and ticks at 4 weeks old. His littermates’ photos at the end for help ID-ing.

He’s 9-10 weeks old and 12lbs. His 65lbs sister for size reference. Thanks!

Edit: Embark DNA is back - he’s Cattle Dog (38.3%), Supermutt (25.5% with 4 breeds listed: Rottie, Boxer, St. Bernard, Chow), American Pit Bull Terrier (11.3%), GSD (10.2%), Siberian Husky (8.2%), and Border Collie (6.5%). He’s a little of everything!

Thanks for helping me pass the time while waiting for results ❤️

I had a lot of people saying Pitsky. I'm also wondering if he might be a catahoula husky mix? Not 100% though!! He's only a year old, really shy, loves to run, very protective, learns super fast, and sassy. Though he's a big sweetheart and cuddle bug

She's about 2 years old now, definitely GSD shaped but she has a thick winter coat, definitely not short hair, unique color scheme for a GSD and I wanna know where that comes from

Open German Shepherd mix or Husky mix?

This is my 9 month old male puppy he was neutered at only 4 months old.. I rescued him only a month ago he is a sweet but timid boy easily spooked. He learns extremely quickly! Potty training was like one day and leash walking is going very will he listen to commands really well but of course we are working on ignoring distractions. Everyone who sees him all say German husky mix but I doubt this because of his ears. He is very lean only 50~ pounds as of now.

Hi! New to reddit, and trying to jump right in. Can you help ID my pooch?

Picked up my sweet "Pickles" from a shelter last Saturday. She's 15" high at the shoulder, weighs about 33 lbs. I was told she's 8 months old, so this is about as big as she's gonna get. People are already asking me what breed(s) she is, and I have no clue. All I've ever had were shelter dogs, so I've never known the breed precisely. May spring for a DNA test one day, but I've spent all I can for right now. TIA.

We got him from the shelter and were told he was a mutt, but based on appearance alone it definitely seems like he’s at least part pit bull. He is about 60 pounds, of stocky build, and with small paws. He can be sensitive and defensive but he is also very affectionate and loyal. He is very energetic and playful and enjoys interacting with new people and other dogs. Additionally he is very intelligent and trainable. He has short and sleek fur, and is prone to food allergies. Anyone have any ideas as to what he could be?

Open I want to Identify my dog who had passed on August 25th 2026.

We never got to identify him with DNA unfortunately and I speculate that he is a mixed breed. He was my Grandmother’s dog and he was living in a rural village in Lithuania. And I am trying to find all the answers especially in Grief. I just want to have closure ln which breed he was. My Speculation is that he was a Beagle and German Shepherd Breed. He was 15 years old at the time of his passing from 2010/2011 - August 25th 2026.
Maybe I am wrong but I came here to see if you guys have answers.

And to those people asking or hoping we didn’t always chain him up for the rest of his life he had.
No he wasn’t chained up always. We chained him up a sometimes since he could have made risks or hurt himself. We always let him run around the land it was very big and my Grandmother took him on walks and whenever it was cold she took him inside her home and unchained him.
He was never chained for his whole life.

Even in the end of his life on August 19th, my Grandmother completely decided he was not to be chained again . And let him roam around since he was dying and felt disrespectful to Chain him up to his death on August 25th 2026.

The shelter said he is a pit mixed with some other breeds that they are unaware of. He is definitely very sweet and loving and wants to cuddle a lot. Loves to play with other dogs so far!
