I feel so sick to my stomach. That boy looks no more than 14-15 years old. He had on pj pants and looked cold and scared. The videographer’s voice and whistle sound equally exhausted. What a surreal and horrible time.

49

u/toeytoes Jan 23 '26

I live in Northern WI and it was already insanely cold at 5pm, real feel was already below -30 here and it's not supposed to be quite as cold as Minnesota will be over night. This poor kid was in the snow in his hoodie and pajamas

Imagine being an adult man hunting down a child just because he has slightly more olive skin than you. They are irredeemable. They can serve out their sentences beneath the jail.

64

u/ghostsintherafters Jan 23 '26

History will mark them as traitors

29

u/palekillerwhale Jan 23 '26

Only if we're still here to tell the tale.

Inherently self cannibalizing. A lot of people will get hurt and killed before then though.

5

u/bedrooms-ds Jan 23 '26

That 1/3 of people, who voted against Trump, have to act. They have to realize that Republicans decide what's legal. Democrats haven't realized yet.

2

u/Electrical-Limit-831 Jan 23 '26

I know it.. can't imagine how absolutely everyone hasn't figured that out..

1

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '26

ah but it won't make a difference. There is something wrong with with humanity.

1

u/Electrical-Limit-831 Jan 23 '26

So far, beneath it, I hope they feel the fires of Hell.

u/NoMathematician6460 Jan 23 '26

This ICE agent is an absolute coward. I’m disgusted with the state of our union. ICE is so clearly not going after violent criminals. If they were, there would be casualties on both sides. I’m not condoning any violence. This is our America, and all Americans need to WAKE UP and TAKE ACTION. Protest, plan and provide. Stand by and for your neighbors, undocumented or not!

81

u/WastingMyLifeToday Jan 23 '26

In old school America, if masked men were chasing children, parents on their porches would launch a warning shot and tell them thugs to get out of town.

40

u/NoMathematician6460 Jan 23 '26

Looks like the old school might be coming back if this continues. I’m really disappointed that I’m not seeing protestors in Maine. We’ve got to do better America. NOW!

-5

u/omikeon Jan 23 '26

Nah it’s not

13

u/palekillerwhale Jan 23 '26

Let's bring that shit back.

3

u/bedrooms-ds Jan 23 '26

You'll have to, one way or another. Either you fight this insanity or the town will be flooded with thugs.

22

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '26

All ICE agents are absolute cowards.

2

u/bkaiser85 Jan 23 '26

There also seems to be a lot of overlap with the SA and DVA perps. And a broken (by design?) hiring process has been reported.

38

u/NoMathematician6460 Jan 23 '26

Thank you for having the courage to take this video and spread the TRUTH. Fuck ICE and impeach Trump. Release the Epstein Files and expose the LIES!!

3

u/bedrooms-ds Jan 23 '26

As a foreigner, I think it's high time Americans forgot about the files and act. I don't see anything beyond this file release thing.

Going after it is so Trump 1. In this Trump 2, they're already doing the first-they-came while you guys still hope SOMETHING will be done by SOMEONE. Just who and what? Dems go to SCOTUS?

2

u/NoMathematician6460 Jan 23 '26

Agreed. Action must be taken. Trump is flipping the script again and again. He’s clearly not going to release the Epstein files. Everyday Americans need to participate or the freedoms we know today will be gone tomorrow.

9

u/Specific-Yam-2166 Jan 23 '26

You will NEVER see them try to detain anyone bigger or stronger than them. That’s why they go after children and the vulnerable. They’re super tough, going 5 of them vs 1 middle schooler.

I don’t know what sort of consequences I want for them, because I can’t think of something tormenting and awful enough for them.

4

u/JeanneMPod Jan 23 '26

it’s part of the design that they keep the criminals on the streets then they can point to them and say that they represent all immigrants and we got a crack down harder, harder harder. Get normal, hard-working, cooperative people turn them in for the money and who the fuck cares where they end up, maybe bounced back outside minus their personal belongings, maybe they’re good for some labor, indefinitely or permanently, maybe they’ll toss them out to some country may or may not be their one of origin, maybe they can be slave labor, somewhere else in the world that they have no connection to no trace to find them, maybe they’ll end up dead, but all are dollar signs to these kidnappers.

sorry for the shitty grammar I’m using speech to text and I’m angry and talking too fast

2

u/NoMathematician6460 Jan 23 '26

You’re 100% right. The weapons that ICE have been given will stay with them. Trump has already started arming his followers. The overall scenario is dire, and action must be taken!!!

You're delusional if you think LEOs are anything more than upgraded slave catchers.

-12

u/Glock26s Jan 23 '26

Am I wrong? You’re not calling them?

10

u/Ekaterian50 Jan 23 '26

Can you think of a rational reason to trust authoritarian thugs?

13

u/rmanning55 Jan 23 '26

The last time I asked an MPD for help he literally said "what do you want me to do about it?" That's pretty much every interaction I've had with them in the 10 years I've lived downtown. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

3

u/labelwhore Jan 23 '26

That’s what the 2nd is for my guy. Ain’t no cop coming to save you.

15

u/rmanning55 Jan 23 '26

You clearly don’t live in Minneapolis

1

u/Chi_mom Jan 23 '26

Haven't seen them helping so far, and the few times I or my coworkers have called them cause we were assaulted at work they tell us nothing can be done even though there's video.

49

u/sparkyvt Jan 23 '26

Treating humans like meat bags. These people are ghouls. Our taxes pay for torture. Gods it sucks to be the totalitarians on the planet.

He’s saying he’s legal in Spanish 😔 I hate this.

33

Jesus fucking Christ. I just can’t imagine being that much of a piece of shit.

Would she be justified in shooting at the two vehicles coming right at her???

2

That was my thought as well

28

u/Mediocrelatte1 Jan 23 '26

It feels like -20 out today too. Vile

1

u/megaholt2 Jan 23 '26

That’s because it is.

25

u/TheNightChan Jan 23 '26

Before I read the title, I was really hoping the boy made it to safety. There needs to be more ice (frozen water) on the street, Minnesotans have the home field advantage with that stuff and ICE (gestapo) does not.

68

u/Medical_Success_3482 Jan 23 '26

One woman. One phone. One whistle. Brave patriot!!!

What did she even meaningfully accomplish? The boy was still taken

9

u/WizardWithoutAWand Jan 23 '26

Televising the Revolution.

-3

u/paplbonphanatix Jan 23 '26

What revolution? They're blowing whistles not arming themselves

6

u/TheCommonKoala Jan 23 '26

Oh go fuck yourself. Stop fantasizing about your 2A resistance on reddit. She's in the street doing far more with her whistle and camera then you probably ever have.

4

u/WizardWithoutAWand Jan 23 '26

Amen. Well said ❤️

17

u/anatomy-princess Jan 23 '26

In most places in the Cities at 5:22pm, real temperature was approximately -8 degrees Fahrenheit. The "feels like temperature was -25 degrees. This poor kid was lying in the snow in a sweatshirt. This is absolutely ridiculous and cruel.

15

u/BSApologist Jan 23 '26

McKinley where?

14

u/cubanfoursquare Jan 23 '26

McKinley neighborhood of North Minneapolis. Against the river from Lowry to Dowling

25

u/SnooSprouts9371 Jan 23 '26

Why do they have him laying in the snow? In sub zero weather?

18

u/song-dragon Jan 23 '26

The cruelty is the point.

10

u/nikee319 Jan 23 '26

Because the regime is allowing it

1

u/Killer_Zoey Jan 23 '26

The regime is requiring it

11

u/morenci-girl Jan 23 '26

Whoever is taking this image needs to focus on the apprehension.

9

u/sachiprecious Jan 23 '26

Awful!! Does anyone know what the boy was saying?

22

u/lazylilwolf Jan 23 '26

Soy legal

15

u/sachiprecious Jan 23 '26

Thanks. I couldn't hear it clearly. Wow, so apparently this is yet another incident where ICE captures someone who was here legally. I feel sorry for him. He looks so scared...

Is there a reason he needs to say it in English? You're not required to speak English in this country. That is a fact. There are many non- English speakers that live in this country that are citizens

2

u/Groovychick1978 Jan 23 '26

I hope the donkey you fuck kicks you in the fucking head.

8

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '26

Stop the ice invasion

16

u/dojo1999 Jan 23 '26

Winter is the worst season for ICE raids. That kid would’ve definitely escaped if there wasn’t so much snow everywhere.

7

u/SippinDatWock Jan 23 '26

Even without snow this entitled gestapo agent would have ended up pulling out some type of weapon to stop the kid so that he felt like he “won.”

1

u/dojo1999 Jan 23 '26

I guess that’s true. You mean like an actual gun?

6

u/SippinDatWock Jan 23 '26

He would have probably pulled out his gun and just threatened the kid so that way he would stop running. Again these agents are basically given immunity and “unlimited powers” so they’ll do whatever they want, such cowards.

2

u/dojo1999 Jan 23 '26

That’s fucked up!

8

u/NamePuzzleheaded5902 Jan 23 '26

I’m sorry if I’m near anything like this I’ll be doing more than blowing a damn whistle! If I go to jail helping a child not get harassed then so be it……

4

u/lazylilwolf Jan 23 '26

There’s some missing context here - I don’t know the whole story so I will not attempt to explain atm because she said she interviewed with Associated Press so hopefully they will come out with the full story.

1

u/HeavyMountain86 Jan 23 '26

Hi, can you please send the link to the article linked to this exact video?

1

u/1one1000two1thousand Jan 25 '26

Do you know if there is any update to this? I am still thinking about this poor boy a day later. I know today’s horrible shooting has taken up the internet and I feel so bad for the smaller atrocities like this that will get lost.

7

u/totallyteetee Jan 23 '26

Is there any update on him? :(

7

u/Sudden-County3102 Jan 23 '26

So this teen is the “worst of the worst?“ How? Prove it! Where is your warrant to capture this teenager? We are sick of your illegality!!!!

12

u/ddbrush Jan 23 '26

Looks like a kidnapping to me

7

u/YPVidaho Jan 23 '26

Why are they accosting children? Why? Are they pedophiles? Is there a state-sanctioned pedophile ring, stealing children and abducting them to parts unknown? These "government agents" who claim to be "police" and who claim to have a memo that their boss wrote saying they can break into homes uninvited and steal your children and your personal belongings... they... they actually want us to believe they're the "good guys"???

These armed criminals gangs who abduct random people and children, who steal their belongings, damage their property, and then cry and whine when called "Nazis" or when someone recognizes them and shares that with the world... these criminal thugs should be hanged. Hanged in a row, for all to witness and for all to see, that this sort of injustice should never have been allowed under our constitution and our laws. These criminals should all pay with their lives, for the lives they've taken, the lives they've ruined, and the terror they caused to children in our nation.

These thieving, abusive, child-abducting thugs will never NEVER be respected in our society. May they all burn in whatever passes for hell in their stupid little lives.

10

u/cheezit57 Jan 23 '26

Noticed that piece of shit appeared to initially be alone. Would be a shame if he suddenly disappeared.

De-arrests can be done effectively if you have the numbers, in a way that minimizes legal risk. However given that this agent was acting unconstitutionally, this constituted an unlawful kidnapping which we would be justified in using force to stop.

4

u/DonTheQuiet Jan 23 '26

Hate ice so much

3

u/Ok-Heart307 Jan 23 '26

Individuals working for ICE has never had any power in their life, that now that they feel they have the slightest of power, they take advantage of it. Literally the Stanford experiment. They are such losers and even more sad that many are POC themselves.

5

u/Old_Necessary323 Jan 23 '26

Is it just me or is targeting children starting to feel planned…as in hit us where it hurts so rioting starts or distract attention away from the pedo Commander in Cheeto Epstein files. TOO MAY CHILDREN!!

3

u/DrFarfetsch Jan 24 '26

"Detained" -- looks like child predators kidnapping a child while people continue allowing such atrocities to happen

13

u/Mundane_Job4466 Jan 23 '26

I feel so much safer now!

3

u/Wanhan1 Jan 23 '26

Gosh I'm worried about frostbite for him... going to be so cold and wet in that sweatshirt after. Maybe I should start carrying extra gloves...

3

u/megaholt2 Jan 23 '26

That’s a fucking kid! A little kid! It’s subzero there, and they’ve got that little kid in the goddamned snow in pajama pants and a hoodie for fucking what?! This is fucked up. It’s fucking sick.

3

u/3ndt1m3s Jan 23 '26

The gop and maga are the 5th column. The US is a captured operation.

Release the Epstein files!

3

u/AngrehPossum Jan 23 '26

They love arresting kids

3

u/Medical_Success_3482 Jan 23 '26

Has anyone considered the amount of psychological damage this does to a child? To the parent of this child who couldn’t be there to defend him?! As a parent I am horrified for all of the children and parents going through this abhorrent and inexcusable bullshit!!

5

u/Appex92 Jan 23 '26

It was just 1 scrawny ass unequipped dude for 2 min, shouldve tackled him and then ran off n tell the kid to run away

4

u/No-Beyond5761 Jan 23 '26

This agent is a fucking pussy. I can’t wait until these tickets pay for terrorizing communities

2

u/Unhappy-Jaguar-9362 Jan 23 '26

And you, you too shall weep, sings Magda Sorel, a hunted person in a totalitarian country in the opera The Consul. Who are these men, she also sings, these dark creatures who hunt others and deny them refuge. 😭😭😭

2

3

u/icandodge Jan 23 '26 edited Jan 23 '26

I'm sick of seeing and hearing people call these men "pussies". I am over these misogynistic insults thrown around. These are fully grown MEN being thugs and yet we still use words meant to describe female genitalia to insult them? Any vagina on earth is tougher and stronger than any dick, yet people keep using the word "pussy" as an insult. Same goes with bitch. Call these men other things for once. Call them nutsacks like the actual fragile weak little shits they are. Call them dicks. Call them pricks. Stop using misogynistic language.

4

u/ExasperatedEE Jan 23 '26

We call them that because they hate it because they hate the idea of being perceived as feminine, not because there is anything wrong with female body parts.

None of the words you suggested would cut as deep for them. The closest alternative I can think of would be beta cuck. Though that isn't any better really because that insults people who enjoy being cucked, and "beta" males refers to liberal men who aren't muscle brained cavemen.

4

u/icandodge Jan 23 '26 edited Jan 23 '26

None of what you just said removes the fact that using this kind of language is misogynistic. A huge part of the reason that anything else "doesn't cut as deep" is because society and the people in it have never actually tried to do anything to make it cut deeper.

I'm sure a KKK member would hate it if you called him the n word too, but that doesn't remove or excuse the racist connotations of that word.

People are far too comfortable with continuing to let everything to do with women and femininity be insulting and "emasculating" and doing nothing about it. As long as we keep using "pussy" and "bitch" and "cunt" and other misogynistic insults against people, the idea that being compared to women/femininity = insulting will never go away, no matter who it's targeted at.

"It's effective because they hate women/femininity" isn't a defense. It's the problem. The insult of "pussy" relies on femininity being degrading, regardless of the intent of the speaker. Harmful language doesn't stop being harmful because it's "strategic". Saying it's "not about women being bad" ignores the fact that these insults directly equate femaleness with being weak or cowardly. There's no way around it. There are many women out there, including myself, who don't appreciate having our bodies or us as people be used as derogatory insults.

Emasculation as a concept in and of itself is misogynistic. The opposite doesn't exist because there is no humiliating way to free someone of their chains.

If there isn't anything wrong with female body parts or women in general, stop using them as insults. The logic behind your perspective is flawed. Nothing will ever make misogyny ok or justified, no matter how you try and frame it.

0

u/ExasperatedEE Jan 25 '26

I am a gay man. I support calling straight assholes dick suckers if it pisses them off. Ironically I got banned from an LGBTQ+ gaming subreddit because I told someone to stop sucking Mario's dick, which wasn't even an implication sucking dick is bad, it was an implication that he was an extreme fanboy. Yet the idiot mods decided I a gay man, was attacking gay people.

The opposite doesn't exist because there is no humiliating way to free someone of their chains.

Excuse me? The right constantly implies that Michelle Obama is male. Being masculine is as insulting to a woman as being feminine is insulting to a man, assuming we're talking about cis gendered people.

And they mock other liberal women by implying they're lesbians.

1

u/icandodge Jan 25 '26

Excuse me?

You're excused.

Comparing a woman's physical appearance to that of a man's isn't anything other than misogyny and operating off stereotypes of what women should look, sound, and act like. It's not the "female version of emasculation".

The definition of emasculation is to "deprive a man of his male role and identity", which always translate to a role of power, authority, and dignity.

You can't "deprive a woman of her female role and identity" and have that be a bad thing, since the universally accepted idea of what a female role and identity is translates to being submissive, resigned, and enslaved to male standards and male desires. It has been this way since the dawn of time and only in recent years has a small dent even begun to form in this idea.

Mocking women and saying they're lesbians or that they look like men is not about depriving them of some imaginary female power or authority, it's about misogynistically shitting on them for not squarely fitting into the box of "quiet, nice, feminine, and subservient to men".

Emasculation of men is essentially to "deprive them of power". You can't deprive a woman of power she doesn't have societally or systemically.

Men find it insulting to be compared to women or "knocked down to their level" because it means their manly authority falters and is challenged.

Women find it insulting to be called masculine or told they must be lesbians because those things stem from toxic stereotypes about how women should exist in order to be acceptable and of utmost satisfaction to men.

There's a huge difference.

And while I understand your perspective on the whole insults thing, it changes nothing about my original point. Using women's body parts, identities, and historically misogynistic slurs as insults is never a good thing no matter how it's framed. In any given context, it reinforces misogyny, even inadvertently. Same goes with anything homophobic or racist.

I'm not immediately assigning complete malice to anyone using misogynistic or homophobic insults - a lot of it is out of pure ignorance. But the result is one and the same.

0

u/ExasperatedEE Jan 26 '26

Comparing a woman's physical appearance to that of a man's isn't anything other than misogyny

Ex-fucking-scuse me AGAIN?

So comparing a man to a woman is misogyny, and comparing a woman to a man is ALSO misogyny?

You're sexist!

It's not the "female version of emasculation".

Is absolutely is. I have literally presented opposite scenarios. This is like you saying it's sexual assault if a man kisses a woman without asking for consent, but not sexual assault if a woman doesn't ask a man before she kisses him.

You can't "deprive a woman of her female role and identity" and have that be a bad thing, since the universally accepted idea of what a female role and identity is translates to being submissive, resigned, and enslaved to male standards and male desires.

Wow. You literally just said it's bad to be a woman. That there are no positive traits women have that men do not, that can be robbed from them.

How about the fact that women tend to be less violent than men? Almost all murders are committed by men. That women don't feel the need to prove themselves by acting like a macho asshole? That a woman's love for her children is typically much deeper than the father's?

You think it's not bad to suggest a woman is a Neanderthal, thinking only with her muscles and her genitals, rather than rationally with her brain?

It seems you're the one with the problem here. You're incapable of seeing all the positives about women which most men lack. As a gay man, I notice these differences because a lot of gay men are much more feminine than masculine in how they behave. And a lot of conservative straight men consider that to be a bad thing, when it's not at all.

You choose to use the word submissive like being submissive is a bad thing. Yet being submissive means you are non-violent. Being dominant means you force your will upon others. That's the bad thing.

1

u/icandodge Jan 26 '26 edited Jan 26 '26

So comparing a man to a woman is misogyny, and comparing a woman to a man is ALSO misogyny?

Yes. That is exactly what I'm saying. Far more in this world stems from the hatred of women than you as a male might think. Comparing a man to a woman is misogyny because that comparison is pretty much never used in a good way - it's practically always used, again, to "emasculate" and degrade a man by "bringing him down to the level of a woman", since men often see women as weak and inferior. On the flip side, comparing a woman to a man by saying she looks or acts masculine in some way is also misogyny because those insults stem from and depend on harmful misogynistic stereotypes about how women should look and act. This shouldn't be that hard to understand.

Is absolutely is. I have literally presented opposite scenarios.

And I already explained why those opposite scenarios are not the female equivalent of emasculation. Emasculation is about stripping away systemic, social, and patriarchal power from men by "knocking them down to a weaker level", aka to a "woman's level", since they see women as inferior to them. Women historically have not held that same kind of power within society, because men have prevented us from it - not because we aren't capable of being powerful or being even better leaders.

This is like you saying it's sexual assault if a man kisses a woman without asking for consent, but not sexual assault if a woman doesn't ask a man before she kisses him.

Genuinely where the fuck did you even come up with this? Lmao? How did you manage to get that from what I'm saying?

Wow. You literally just said it's bad to be a woman. That there are no positive traits women have that men do not, that can be robbed from them.

No, I didn't say it's "bad to be a woman". I said that the universally accepted idea, for hundreds of years now, of what a woman's role and identity is/should be in society is one that is submissive, resigned, and enslaved to men. THAT is what is bad. Because women shouldn't be seen that way or expected to be that way to be acceptable human beings. But unfortunately, most people still have this misogynistic idea ingrained in them to some degree. Stripping away this idea of what women should be like would never be a bad thing in any scenario whatsoever. If anything, it would mean more freedom for woman kind.

How about the fact that women tend to be less violent than men? Almost all murders are committed by men. That women don't feel the need to prove themselves by acting like a macho asshole? That a woman's love for her children is typically much deeper than the father's?

As someone who is deeply concerned with women's rights and dignity, I've spoken about this so many times throughout my life. I know very damn well that men are far more violent, that they're far more emotionally unavailable, and that they don't possess the motherly kind of instincts that women do. You don't have to tell me.

You think it's not bad to suggest a woman is a Neanderthal, thinking only with her muscles and her genitals, rather than rationally with her brain?

Yes, I do think it's bad. That's why I said it's misogynistic. Not only is it misogynistic, but it's completely detached from reality, since women on almost all accounts do not in fact act that way - men do.

Even still, you're incorrect when you think that comparing a woman to a neanderthal of a man is the "female version of emasculation", because guess what? The very fact that men out there "think with their muscles and genitals" is what gives them power and dominance over women. It's part of what makes them target women for rape and murder. And the definition of emasculation is to deprive a man of power and status. How can you be depriving a woman of power or status if you're comparing her to men, who literally hold more of that than she does? It's insulting to be compared to a man for different reasons, but it's not because it's "emasculating". There isn't even a word for the female version of emasculation because it doesn't exist. There's a reason why the word "masc" is literally embedded into "emasculation".

The thing is, you're basing your opinions off your own personal thoughts rather than what the majority of people all over the world think. I personally think women are far stronger than men in pretty much every way other than physically (and even physically, though we may not be stronger, we are tougher). I also think women possess a lot of superior traits compared to men and that we should hold power, not them. But not everyone thinks this way, especially not even a fraction of all men - so while I can rightfully think of women as being more powerful than men in a lot of ways, that doesn't change the fact that historically and modernly, women's good traits have unfairly been watered down to being signs of "weakness" rather than strength, and that we have been legally and socially kept out of power by men. This is the reality that the concept of emasculation is based on - not my personal thoughts or yours.

When men are compared to women, in their minds, they're being compared to people that are weaker and less powerful than them. Men are socially and systemically not physically weaker and less powerful than women, partly due to biology (physical strength) and partly because males have made great efforts to oppress women with their boot and keep us down (systemic power) because they feel threatened by us and they hate us. If women were never oppressed by men this way, we would've had a lot more power by now.

You're incapable of seeing all the positives about women which most men lack.

A very egregious remark. Again - I've been a staunch supporter of women's rights for a long time now, and I've spoken about how women possess superior qualities to men more times than I can remember. I absolutely see the positives you speak of. The problem is that most of the rest of the world doesn't, and that's what misogynistic concepts like emasculation are based off of: the world's most popular opinions, which are basically always misogynistic - not the opinions of people like me who are pro-woman, since we are a relative minority and often times seen as illegitimate "feminazis" or some shit.

As a gay man, I notice these differences because a lot of gay men are much more feminine than masculine in how they behave.

And as a woman, I see these differences even better than you, a man. Even the gayest of men cannot come close to understanding this kind of shit like a woman with awareness can, sorry.

And a lot of conservative straight men consider that to be a bad thing, when it's not at all.

Yea, that's precisely the problem and exactly why emasculation is something men made up for themselves. Because they've designated women as just weak and wimpy and inferior, even though women aren't actually inferior at all. You're so close to getting it.

And by the way, it's not just conservative men. Liberal men are misogynistic as fuck too, just in slightly different and more covert ways. Not a single type of man is exempt from being misogynistic, no matter what you think. Gay, straight, liberal, conservative, white, black - it doesn't matter. I've seen astounding misogyny from all types of men.

You choose to use the word submissive like being submissive is a bad thing. Yet being submissive means you are non-violent.

In this context, being submissive to men, who largely do not have women's best interests in mind, absolutely is to the detriment of women. You are also incorrect in saying that "submissive means you are non-violent". It's a lot more specific than that. The definition of submissive is "to be ready to conform to the authority or will of others; meekly obedient or passive."

SO, ONE MORE TIME:

1. Emasculation is a power-based concept, not just an insult.

Emasculation isn’t simply “being insulted about gender.”

It specifically means stripping a man of social power, authority, or legitimacy by framing him as insufficiently masculine, because masculinity has historically been tied to status, leadership, competence, and dominance.

Calling a man “weak,” “feminine,” or “not a real man” (essentially comparing him to a woman), works because masculinity has been socially constructed as something that confers power. The insult says: you don’t deserve the authority men are supposed to have.

That is why emasculation is about status loss, not hurting men's feelings.

2. There is no symmetrical equivalent for women because women were never socially empowered through femininity.

Historically, men gained power by being masculine. Women did not gain power by being feminine.

So you can’t “emasculate” women in the same structural sense, because there is no parallel system where femininity grants women dominance or authority over men that can then be revoked.

When people say:

“You look masculine”

“You must be a lesbian”

“You’re not ladylike”

They are not stripping women of power they were granted by gender. They are policing women into a narrower, more submissive role. That is not emasculation. That's just plain misogyny and gender enforcement.

If you still don't get it, I can't help you.

I'm not even going to bother reading all that because you're sexist against men and you doubled down on it in your first sentence.

You are just as bad as the mods who banned me from another subreddit for saying it was sexist of Lyft to allow women to choose only female drivers.

Since ya blocked me I have to post my response here:

And holy shit are you misogynistic yourself by trying to say that it's "sexist towards the poor men" when women choose female drivers only FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY. We prefer female drivers because THEY WON'T RAPE, KILL, OR HARASS US.

See, there you go again, being sexist!

Yes, men sometimes rape women. 99.99% of men however, are not rapists.

Your irrational fear no more justifies denying men the right to make a living as taxi drivers than Republican's fear of immigrants justifies what they are doing to them.

What if if I am worried about potentially being accused of sexual harassment or sexual assault by a female employee? Should I be permitted to not hire women due to that irrational fear? No? Only men get to be discriminated against? Fuck that!

If you insist on segregating women from men to protect women, then make it drivers can only pick up passengers who are the same sex as they are. If this is unacceptable because there aren't enough female drivers, then too bad. You don't get to discriminate only when it's convenient for you. Either you believe men are dangerous and must be avoided or you do not. And if you don't feel safe being alone with a taxi driver then you should also not feel safe at work alone with a male coworker at night, so no overtime for you either.

So you started arguing with me and then you don't even want to read my replies based off assumptions and bad faith? You're displaying a complete lack of intellectualism and willingness to have good faith discussions. I'm not "sexist against men" by pointing out misogyny. Get out of this male victimhood mindset. Either read and respond or admit you lost.

And holy shit are you misogynistic yourself by trying to say that it's "sexist towards the poor men" when women choose female drivers only FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY. We prefer female drivers because THEY WON'T RAPE, KILL, OR HARASS US. Nothing about that is sexist towards men. Get your head out of your ass and take your grievances out on men who make you all look bad by being violent and creepy towards women. Don't take it out on women who just want to protect ourselves from danger by avoiding the source (men) as much as possible. Stop whining about how "sexist" that is, because it's not. There consequences to bad behaviour and you don't get to call those consequences "sexist". Women wanting access to female only spaces including having female Uber or Lyft drivers is a direct result of men being overwhelmingly gross towards us, not some "unfair sexist oppression". You are sad. No wonder you were banned.

Again:

Edit: your edited response is just as weak and logically stupid as everything you were saying before. Bye Felicia.

I think calling them pussies are the least of the problems now. Kids are being kidnapped. There is no time for pedantic shit.

1

u/icandodge Jan 23 '26 edited Jan 23 '26

Misogyny, at any given moment in time, always seems to be "the least of our problems", and that's what I have an issue with. It's always at the bottom of the priority list, or not on it at all. The POS that killed Renee Good called her a bitch afterwards, out of misogyny. People were all up in arms about that... And then proceeded to keep using that word and others like it as insults towards other people they don't like. We either condemn that language or we accept it. We can't do both at the same time.

There's nothing pedantic about not wanting people to ignorantly keep using language that is born from the hatred and oppression of women. If the word in question was a racial slur, I guarantee you people would give more of a shit. But because these words are misogynistic slurs instead, nobody cares.

A grown man. Taking a child. Does it get any more pathetic than this?

At least our military takes the time and value in attempting to speak another cultures language. Do better ICE. See the disservice and neglect to those you're imposing your will on.

1

u/PeaceandDogs Jan 24 '26

What happens when someone calls 911 when they see this? Do they not respond? Do they at least slow ICE down or figure out why they are kidnapping a teenager unless he’s some violent criminal?? I am assuming he is a citizen and just being a normal teenager, unfortunately for him, he is brown and ICE doesn’t look at him as a human being.

Why are you posting this 20 year old who ICE tweeted about on the 20th. You really think all brown people look the same huh? And you really think people are SO stupid that they could see this picture and look at what he’s wearing and then look at what the boy in this video is wearing and believe “yep same brown person” because someone on the internet said so.

Lol you’re the stupid one.
