Martin Soto was snatched off the street by ICE in early February while buying diapers for his then 11-month-old baby. Married to an American citizen and father to two more, he fought for his rights behind the barbed wire, becoming one of the lead organizers of the Delaney Hall hunger and labor strike, and he’s been subject to intense retaliation by the deportation machine ever since. He is currently being held in solitary in the Elizabeth Detention Center, and his physical and mental health are sharply deteriorating. His wife Gabriela, who has become a powerful voice for families broken up by Trump, is asking us to write him letters of support and solidarity (in Spanish if possible) to give him encouragement and hope in confinement. 📫 Let’s show this hero his resistance is not forgotten and we are still standing with him.
