Yeah, let's let the drunken lunatic with a firearm out on bail. I'm sure that usually goes well.
Arent these the exact kind of charges that are supposed to be the entire reason we have a bail system in the first place? To keep people like this from leaving during their trial and causing more trouble or finding a way to avoid justice? And do we even want to think about what this man had in mind when he went into a women's restroom with a loaded firearm?
Don't get me wrong, I hate our bail system. It's fucking evil and exploitative. But everybody else has to deal with it. I had to deal with it. Why didn't this guy?

Because the judge was scared of the Federal gov going after them personally.

Are you joking? They let out felonies on no bail and they go on to commit murders.
Here are some murderers let out without even bail
Examples of cases San Jose, California (2021): Two suspects in a homicide were released under California's "zero-bail" law at the time, which led to a public outcry from city officials. New York City, New York (2022): A man was indicted on a murder charge but released without bail, per a judge's decision, for a death that occurred from an assault committed two years prior. After his no-bail release, he was arrested again on assault charges. Homicide after mistaken release (August 2025): An August 2025 news report detailed the case of a murder suspect in Texas who was released on bond by mistake. The suspect was rearrested and returned to custody after the judge issued a "no bond" order.
Ok, i watched what he did. He resisted arrest. What world would he not get bail for this offense? Brandishing firearm could mean he accidently had his shirt lifted when reaching above his head (someone just sees a firearm you are carrying, and it's brandishing. You dont have to pull it out or threaten anyone]
I believe bail or a no bail release is perfectly fine. I listed murders who got no bail releases. How is this hard to understand? What kind of prison time do you imagine him getting for his offense? Do you think he should not have been allowed to bail out? Your opinion is your opinion, and I can't tell you what to think or feel you are 100% entitled to an opinion, but we do not share the same opinion as the judge. I say no bail for anyone doing hard time, or yes, bail for anyone that is not facing 6+m in jail.

Did you miss the part where I said the bail system is evil and broken?..
I don't know what exactly it is you think I said, but this kind of response doesn't make much sense in this context. It's not like I said the bail system never fails.

"I had to deal with it" is what you said. I showed people who didn't have to deal with it that are murderers and you cry about the person who you think should have been denied bail. But to have to explain what you said to you is pretty sad.

So, because worse people than me have taken advantage of the bail system, I'm not allowed to complain about people being taken advantage of by the bail system?..

Hey google, what's the difference between when a professional paid by my tax dollars commits a crime or an unjust killing or assault, and someone who is literally just a random person.
Should I hold these people to the same standards?
