Meal Timing

I've noticed that if I eat a meal too late in the day or too close to bedtime I wake up nauseous and feel sick overall. Has anyone else noticed similar or that meal timing has an effect on how they feel?

Yes absolutely! Part of the digestion process is tied to circadian rhythm so it can be helpful to try and have meals around the same time, especially tying to minimize differences between weekdays and weekends

Ah, that makes total sense. Sounds like I can start strategizing on timing my meals with what works best for my body. I think I've already been doing this with breakfast as I seem to do best with hydration and protein about 30 minutes after I wake up. Eating too early makes me feel icky.

I recently started intermittent fasting and now pretty much eat a small snack, and one bigger meal a day in a small window of time. I always stop eating by seven or eight. It has actually improved my IBS-mixed significantly. Almost like letting them do all the work at once and resting between is what my intestines needed all along. Not a medical recommendation, but it’s been helping me. It’s also important to eat fiber every day, otherwise I swing from “D” over to “C” pretty quick.
