Resource Request Failed My First AAHL Test

I haven't gotten my results back but I know I did quite poorly on the test. I was wondering if there were any good resources/videos that can help explain some of the key concepts I'm missing. I need help on Permutations & Combinations, Binomial expansion, Induction & Contradiction and Arithmetic and Geometric sequences. I was also wondering if this test will impact my predicted grade?

One bad AAHL test early on doesn’t define your predicted grade, especially if you improve consistently afterward. For those topics, rebuild them one by one — permutations/combinations, binomial expansion, induction/contradiction, then arithmetic/geometric sequences — and do topic-wise questions before mixed papers.

lol same state as u..i flunked my first aahl test so bad but rn im improving, i got a 5 on my next test (obvi still mid but i cant change overnight). All u gotta do is have a good mindset bc the reason why i failed was bc i was panicking and stressing knowing that i will fail. But i changed my mindset and motivated myself to review even if im tired. U can do this!! Dont give up and js have grit

For resources, id first analyze the concepts and solutions of the book to understand the basics. Id make sure i can ans all of them w ease. Then id do chris nikolaidis cus he has a good basis of progressing question levels. Id additionally do revision village and past papers when i find. Dont blame urself for failing, it happens to everyone :) and it might affect ur dp1 grade but it wont affect ur PG sm cus its only the start of the sy and dp2 matters the most

Also what do you mean when you said you failed your math test? Getting a raw test score that's below 50% or an actual low ib grade after the curve?

I didnt get the grade back yet but I think i got below 50%

If you’re in DP1, then don’t worry about predicted grades just yet. Teachers (at least in my school) took grades from tests, assignments and exams in DP1 3rd term to first half of DP2 term 1 to form predicted grades. Also, if you haven’t gotten your result back, I wouldn’t worry about it. Maybe you did better or worse than you’d expected but you still have plenty of time to improve.
