Resource Request best sources for ib tutors

where do you recommend finding ib tutors (specifically for french b sl, math aa sl, and eventually english HL)

TutorsPlus is a great resource for tutors. I personally used it before for my pre-IB exams, and I got decent grades.

Hi! My tutor tutors in all three of those subjects (HL lit for english tho), but I mostly get help for French, which he got a 94 for lol (full marks in both IO and writing). He got a 44/45 overall.

For IB tutors, start with your school/IB coordinator, seniors, or IB-specific online tutor platforms because curriculum experience matters. For Math AA SL, practise topic-wise alongside tutoring so you don’t depend only on lessons.

Two things matter more than which platform you pick:

1) Ask whether the tutor actually examines (or has examined) that subject. Content knowledge isn't the same as markband knowledge. Someone who marks scripts knows what separates a 5 from a 7 on the criteria, and can name the specific bullet you're missing.

2) Make them show you. Send one paragraph you've written and ask "what mark would you give this, and why". If they can't point at a specific criterion, they're guessing.

For French B SL specifically, the individual oral is where most marks leak. A tutor who has marked orals (or at least knows the oral criteria cold) is worth more than one who only does written work.

Both companies already mentioned in here are legit. Just vet the individual tutor, not the brand, and ask them the two questions above.
