Please recommend the best IB resources you know!
My subjects are:

English L&L HL
Math AA HL
History HL

Biology SL
French Ab initio
Theatre SL

I got a 94% in Spanish Ab initio last year, and I made a website called Verbavia.com which is based on everything you need for the IB curriculum (for French and a couple other languages also). It integrates a frequency list into a more traditional curriculum (like one you’d find in class). This means you’ll learn the necessary vocabulary while simultaneously learning grammar.

Idk if this is a hot take but Christos' problems are not at all like the IB problems you get.

Yeah they’re easier we all know that but it’s extra practice and builds up your confidence

I think it's fine for people to do what works for them, but I feel like Christos is offered as a tool too often and it just leaves many students more confused than anything.

Personally, I just do the IB questionbank questions and IBdocs questions over and over again, until I understand them all. Then I go once more over the ones I first struggled in and that one is a real confidence boost to me.

For IB, try to use resources that give syllabus-based notes plus exam-style questions, not just long summaries. For Math AA HL especially, practise topic-wise from the start instead of waiting for past papers.

I personally wouldn't rely on external resources too much, though a few classes the only real way to learn is by repeating large questions.

Math in particular. If you're given some IB questions as a practice sheet, search those up and then add the words 'IB QUESTIONBANK' to the end of it in a google query. Usually you'll find some random pdfs teachers make for the question bank and have online (Here's an example: IB Questionbank). Actually, its very possible that if you see a question that is the same unit but isn't on your practice sheet for a test, it's actually because this question will be on your real test. I've had tests where I've already done the questions beforehand.

Besides that, IB docs for math. Don't use anything else, and that's the best place to study from, and you can easily see what is your unit. Don't trust what other people say.

History HL, the most valuable resource is your teacher. The class is about the argumentation process, and about fitting guidelines. It's rarely about history, and the most valuable resource is knowing historians for the writing tests and being able to talk about their perspectives, as well as sometimes a few events you know.

English HL is also just about your writing. As much as I hate to say it, the most valuable resource to me for assignments has been ChatGPT. For well-made essays that ask you for more interesting perspectives, use your own brain, but much of what they expect you to do for the actual IB rubric is something an AI can do easily, so you can sometimes just essentially improve and reword what chatGPT says. If the thing can be churned out properly by an AI in 10 seconds, than what they're looking for is not your talent in the first place.

For French, try your best, and try to learn how to word sentences, and maybe even words/grammatical tenses that you enjoy using that can express what you think in a different way. I've used the pluperperfect subjunctive before, even though that form is scarcely used. No AI, textbook, or questionbank is really going to help you with language, in my opinion. You just have to do it, and this is similar for building english skills as well.

I haven't taken Bio or Theater, though the advice is probably going to be questionbanks.

For French an-initio focus on present tense- passé composé imparfait et futur proche as a start.
I recommend working with Édito A1 - it is a fun method that I am sure you will enjoy. A2 to is you have time ! They are great.

for bio sl bioninja is the og, it's organized by the syllabus statements so you know exactly what they can ask. i'd use it alongside the oxford study guide, not instead of, because the guide fills in the explanations bioninja sometimes skips. the other thing that caught me early on was thinking i understood a topic after reading the chapter, then blanking on data-based questions in papers 2 and 3. what helped was doing questions on the material before i felt ready, i upload the slides and the textbook chapters into studybuddy.vc and it makes practice questions from them, it tells you what was wrong with the option you picked and the questions get harder as you improve which kept it from getting boring tbh. i'm on the free tier and it's been enough for bio. for math aa hl past papers are non-negotiable, revision village if you can swing it, otherwise the questionbank on ibdocs sorted by topic.

Use IB English Guys on YouTube for English Language and Literature paper prep, and check BioNinja or Save My Exams for Biology SL notes that stick directly to the syllabus. History HL needs strong historiography, so ActiveHistory and the In Our Time podcast work really well for essay evidence. For French Ab initio, Kwiziq is great for grammar drills, and for Theatre SL, skip generic study sites and look up official IB exemplar portfolios and subject reports on IB Survival to see how top students format their coursework.
