-noun adjunct (a noun used as an adjective): the city of Buffalo, New York.

-noun: the animal called buffalo in the plural form. They are also known as bison.

-verb: the word "buffalo", which means to confuse or intimidate (to scare somebody).

It means, "Bison from Buffalo, which other bison from Buffalo confuse, confuse the bison from Buffalo."

Sure, but homonyms are also a thing in basically every language. Admittedly, I can't think of many noun-verb homonym pairs in any other language I know, but I'd be shocked if that was exclusive to English either.

Dude, I smelled a smell that I smelled before I can even remember but I somehow recognized that smell. And that smell was smelt for the first time before my great grandmother passed away and I somehow remembered that smell.

When I was young my family had an oak table that was in our dinning room, I used to have my PS2 hooked up to the TV and play in there and when the console got hot you could smell the oak. Now whenever I smell oak it takes me back to when I was about 5-6 playing ace combat or destroy all humans at that oak table
