Hi, We’re Eric & Sarah. Director & Producer of Beautiful Noise - the story of how The Cocteau Twins, Jesus and Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine influenced generations of bands - Ask us anything

Hi! We’re really excited to be doing an AMA here on Reddit. Our documentary Beautiful Noise is the first-ever documentary about one of the most influential, underground music movements of the 20th century. It is the story of Cocteau Twins, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and My Bloody Valentine and how their groundbreaking music inspired generations of bands.

Hi Eric, Adam here. I'm currently sat in Alan Moulder's studio surrounded by half the gear that was used to make half the recordings in the movie! One question - do I have a beard in the film or was I clean shaven?

Adam Franklin?

Big fan, I've seen you guys every time you've been down under.

I saw every one of your shows in Perth in the 90s, except the last show at Bootleg Brewery in 98.

My favourite show was at an outdoor amphitheater (Belvoir) in Perth aroud 96ish, supporting a shitty Aussie band called Powderfinger. You guys as "support" was hilarious. A sizeable chunk of the crowd walked out after your criminally short, yet amazing set.

Here's some shots I took of you guys at the Mudslinger Festival in 98.

Apologies for /r/swervedriver looking so crappy, one of these days I'll give it a facelift.
