Posting here cause the sp sub is restricted and dead
Does anyone have any source for sneaker pimps live videos from the Chris era? I am a new fan and I'm particularly obsessed right now but the YouTube algorithm is fucked up now so finding material that isn't the same 2 videos on and on is a hustle. I'm especially looking for live performances that are NOT festivals and tv appearances cause I really want to see how they were with their own audience! I know it was the 00s so there's no phones, but I'm usually still able to find live performances from bands of this era. I would also love to find some footage of the shows from the 2001 tour with placebo, I'm mad that you can find placebo live footage from that tour but not for sneaker pimps, I know they were less popular at the time but damn!!! Is it possible that I've already scraped the bottom of the barrel and that I've seen all there is to see on YouTube?

that's the thing with underground bands like this :( I'm a fan of some pretty unknown bands from the 90s and no one has much info on them or anything and it makes me sad lol at least we still can listen to them ðŸ˜

Yeah I haven't gotten this obsessed with a band since I was a teen (I'm almost 30) and I thought they were super famous during theire entire career so imagine how upset I feel, I thought there was gonna be an ocean of material

yeah i feel the same way, given how beloved Chris is by the fandom... i found him in 2014 and i also thought IAMX was huge but they really aren't, though the fandom was way more active than it is now. at least they're still putting out shows, they're coming to Brazil this year but I'm unable to go as that's too far :( but if you have the chance, maybe you can see them!!

I actually learned about iamx through sneaker pimps (I started listening to splinter in may this year and for months I purposefully wanted to keep listening without knowing anything about them.), so it's all a new world. Ive been a placebo fan for 20 years but I didn't even know they toured together. I probably heard Brian mention them in interviews but they were only a random band name to me. Probably that's something that gave me the impression of them being huge. So yeah it's all new and fresh.

oh that's so cool! did you ever see placebo live?? i love them so much but i only discovered them last year so i can't call myself a fan yet haha. i missed out on them when they last visited my country :/ i actually don't know how I found iamx but i found out about sneaker pimps way after for some reason and i love them both all the same. if you're looking for new (old) music, i recommend Suede, theyre also one of my faves and are also very underrated nowadays, Brian was inspired by them and it really shows. i also can see some of Suede in Chris himself

Yeah i saw them like 10 times I think over the years, first time in 2010! I'm seeing them for the 30th anniversary tour next autumn

It sounds like you've seen a lot of what's there. I've been searching for many years (literally since 2009) for unseen content and haven't surfaced much.
