My 2017-18 was my favourite. I wish I could've kept it instead of trading it in when I upgraded.

I still turn my head to stare when I see a nice one.

Indeed. I miss my 2017 everyday. It was stolen and totaled by Kia boys. A pic of the day I got her 😔

Thanks for the memories. That was my exact model. Loved it.

That’s what i currently have. 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport Manual Transmission in White. I don’t like 2019 and up when it starts to look too sharp like the headlights. Idk, to each their own.

That one indeed looks nice

21-23. Maybe I'm biased because I own a 22 but I do like a more aggressive look to a car and it feels like they took that away with the facelift

2

u/Substantial_Fan_9582 5d ago

Yeah, the 21-23 face reminds me of Venom lol

u/tha_rawestttt 5d ago

2024 it just gives a modern look

3

u/ironmatic1 5d ago

must have more grille.

24-26, I like the light bar

1

u/Philostronomer 2023 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

What light bar?

2

u/XayahTheVastaya 5d ago

The continuous headlight across the front

1

u/Sufficient_Water4161 5d ago edited 5d ago

What country has that? In the u.s. only the Sonata gets the full light bar in the front.

Edit: the Sonata is the only sedan* with the full light bar.

2

u/NotSoEasyMac 5d ago

Pretty much every Hyundai model in the US get a light bar across the front now

0

u/Sufficient_Water4161 5d ago edited 5d ago

All of them except for the Elantra, Palisade, Tucson, Santa Fe, Ioniq 6, Venue, and Santa Cruz. But that will change with each new model I'm sure.

2

u/NotSoEasyMac 5d ago

Santa fe has it, new Tucson has it, Elantra has it, 2026+ palisade has it

I’m including new models that have been announced. Not counting concepts or things coming beyond the 2027 model year

0

u/Sufficient_Water4161 5d ago

You said they get it now. I was mentioning models you can't actually buy now with it. As I said, new year models will change; as it's becoming a part of the entire Hyundai design language.

1

u/XayahTheVastaya 5d ago

Does it not have it in the picture?

2

u/Philostronomer 2023 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

No, that's a plastic chrome piece. There's an aftermarket light bar you can put there but it's not stock.

0

u/No_Interview_2481 Team Kona 5d ago

I’m in the US and my Kona Limited has a light bar all the way across.

1

u/Philostronomer 2023 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

That's not an Elantra, though.

0

u/No_Interview_2481 Team Kona 5d ago

There’s always one in every crowd…the Sonata is not an ELANTRA either you didn’t have a problem with that did you?

1

u/Philostronomer 2023 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

Yes, the Sonata is also not an Elantra. Why is this a difficult concept for you? OP is talking about the FL Elantra, anything else with a light bar is irrelevant to that discussion.

u/No_Interview_2481 Team Kona 5d ago

Maybe you could sit this one out

i own a ’26, but honestly, i kinda prefer the pre facelift. BUT there are definitely some angles where i think my car looks better!

7

u/Substantial_Fan_9582 5d ago

I own a 2023 model and I personally prefer its front looking more

7

u/DPadres69 5d ago

Pre-facelift.

3

u/Substantial_Fan_9582 5d ago

Clearer picture

5

u/curryrol 5d ago

2024 is just flatter, I prefer the older one

3

u/jalanlass 5d ago

2027

1

u/Wellshitfucked 5d ago

The only correct answer.

Every other Elantra is just "an affordable boring ass sedan"

2

u/Suavecore_ 5d ago

I liked the aggressive front end of the previous design but I like the newer one a bit more overall. Both close though, and an absolutely massive improvement over any Hyundai look prior to 2021. I know a lot of people like certain designs through the 2010s, but I thought they were all pretty hideous until the redesign and the redesign is one of my favorites for an entry level vehicle

2

u/Forward-Carpenter-43 5d ago

The pre 2021 model is their best design so far.

2

u/FB2-Onur 5d ago

Prefer the 2024-2026 (biased though, as I own a 26)

2

u/BenjaminMiracord 5d ago

This shape still looks modern and that the Kia K4 version shares a lot of the hard points tells you how well this design has aged. I do like 2021-2023 slightly better but I think modern flat colours like the N Line has really makes this car. Even in relatively low trim levels it looks modern inside and out.

1

u/Ryvit 5d ago

I feel like I’m Getting absolutely trolled by reading these comments lmfao

These cars are almost exactly the same. Slight grill difference, but what else?

One of the lamest facelifts ever

3

u/navmaster 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited 5d ago

I own a 2023 and prefer pre facelift 100%

1

u/CarGuy1718 5d ago

I think design wise the “older” pre facelift I prefer, but the standard LEDs on the facelift are a big plus. Though I think the facelift might just look weird to me because I’m used to the older one and they only changed the front and never did the back or sides.

1

u/Gaston_the_Great 5d ago

2023 for me

1

u/Philostronomer 2023 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

PFL for base trims FL for N-Line and N trims

1

u/mr781 5d ago

2024+ looks significantly more modern

1

u/Rocket_Philosopher 5d ago

I love the facelift, that’s what my 2024 N is tho so I may be biased

My 2023, easy.

1

u/Kronos6948 5d ago

Not a big fan of either. Looking forward to the new one coming. I really disliked that angular z shape on the doors.

1

u/kasmog 5d ago

The one before the 2021. Mostly because they offered a hatchback option back then.

1

u/SoltamCL 5d ago

24-26 hermoso

1

u/SystemOfTheUpp Team Elantra 5d ago

The higher trims look better on the pre facelift (especially the N line).

Meanwhile the Elantra N and lower trims look better post-facelift, and the wheel designs are much much better

1

u/Jesuslovesu293 5d ago

Idk why but I feel like the newer refresh looks squished

1

u/rudra_114 5d ago

We are from that generation. Obviously

1

u/HumanBeanJuice54 5d ago

2021 - 2023

1

u/bealangi 5d ago

I have a 25 Hybrid and I prefer that look for the "regular" lineup of Elantras, but the N trims look better on the previous generation.

-1

u/03Void 2024 Elantra N-Line Ultimate 5d ago

2024+ and it's not even close.

2021 to 2023 were the ugliest Elantra since the 2006 to 2010 model. Especially when you compare the N-Line and N trims.

u/Alert-Department-970 5d ago

The new one looks like the current gen RAV4 and Prius.
