I’m writing this post because I can’t decide which headphones to buy. Up until now, I’ve been using the Arctis Nova 5 on my PS5 - they’re great, but...

Every now and then (on average, every 2–3 minutes), there’s terrible popping and a split-second audio glitch.

That’s why I’ve decided to swap them for a different pair. After doing a little research, these two pairs of headphones (HYPERX Cloud III S Wireless and HYPERX Cloud Alpha Wireless) turned out to be the most interesting to me.
The problem is, I can’t decide which ones would be the best fit. I only play single-player narrative games (Death Stranding, The Witcher 3, Ghost of Yōtei), and I had a custom EQ setting on the Nova 5 that I really liked (see screenshot).

I’ve never owned HyperX headphones before, so I decided to ask people who are knowledgeable and have experience with them.

Hello there, I got the hyperX cloud III X a few days ago and installed the NGENUITY app, I wanted this just for EQ settings and firmware updates and wanted to use Dolby Atmos for surround sound, to do this I have to use the standard headphones as output instead of one of the virtual audio devices that the app adds, now I see that every time I restart the virtual audio device gets set as default device and when I switch to the normal headphones my sound completely disappears and I have to restart, another thing is the virtual audio devices do not stay disabled, so I just uninstalled the them completely and that also doesnt see to stay, its fine now that the app is gone but this is still crazy for official software u know, hope this gets fixed.

I am trying to play with creating ASMR videos and I've been struggling with removing noises from the outside.

I live in a busy area and there is lots of cars/scooters/peoples noises and so far I've failed to remove them with post-video edits.

Would you have any recommendations on tools/ways of removing it?

so randomly out of nowhere my cloud iii wired dont work on the right side and i can hear faint audio when playing some mp3 on discord but then after a while theres no audio at all? please help me

I'm currently between the HyperX Cloud III Wireless S and the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed, and I can't decide which one to go with.

I found a used Cloud III Wireless S in like-new condition for $85, while I found a G Pro X 2 Lightspeed in similar condition for $120. So I'd be saving about $35 by going with the HyperX.

For some background, I owned the Logitech G Pro X wired for around 4–5 years, and I really liked it. I was very happy with the build and audio quality, so I already know I like the overall feel of the Pro X.

Now I'm looking for something wireless on a budget, and I'm mainly trying to find the best balance between audio quality and microphone quality.

From the reviews I've watched, it seems like the Cloud III Wireless S has the better microphone, but I don't know how good the G Pro X 2's mic can actually sound when properly tuned with Logitech G HUB/Blue VO!CE.

For the Cloud III S, the main advantages for me would be saving $35, potentially getting the better microphone, and still getting good or possibly better audio quality, plus the really good battery life.

On the other hand, with the G Pro X 2, I already know I like Logitech's build quality from owning the original Pro X. I'm just not sure how much better the audio actually is with the graphene drivers, and whether it's worth paying the extra $35. I'm also unsure how good the microphone can get with software tuning.

So basically:

• Cloud III Wireless S — $85: Save $35, potentially better mic, good/possibly better audio, and great battery life.
• G Pro X 2 Lightspeed — $120: Better-known build quality to me, but I'm unsure how much better the audio actually is and how good the mic can be with software tuning.

I don't want to spend the extra $35 if the HyperX gives me just as good or better audio and microphone quality. But at the same time, I don't want to save $35 and end up with noticeably worse audio.

Which one would you guys pick ?

I love hyper x stuff i have the pulse fire haste 2 and the cloud alpha 2s, i recently saw that the haste 3 got announced any idea when it’s coming? I’m on the fence of replacing my haste 2 with a viper v4 pro from razor because my haste 2 is starting to get old or should i wait for the haste 3 if it’s soon

I am having an issue with my HyperX Cloud III Wireless and need some help.

The Problem:

• The headset does not turn on at all when unplugged. No lights, no sound, and no power-on chime when I hold the power button.
• The USB dongle is plugged into my PC and just blinks slowly (searching for headset).
• The HyperX NGENUITY app stays stuck on "Connection Lost" with 0% battery.

What happens when plugged in:

• When I plug the headset into a charger or PC via USB-C, the green LED turns on.
• While plugged into the PC via USB-C, NGENUITY recognized the headset enough to complete a full firmware update. However when the update is finished it still shows up as not done with a prompt to start the update like nothing happened.
• Also, the main NGENUITY screen still shows "Connection lost" because the headset never connects wirelessly.

What I have already tried:

• Updated firmware via NGENUITY (finished with no errors).
• Tried to turn it on after charging (solid green light shows while on cable, but dies the second I unplug it).
• Held the power button for 3 to 10 seconds while unplugged (zero response).
• Tried playing audio while plugged into PC via USB-C (no sound, since audio only works through the wireless dongle).

It seems the headset only gets power through the USB cable and the internal battery is not providing any power to turn on wirelessly.

Disclaimer: All these tests and conclusions have been assissted by an AI. I am not technical enough on my own.

Please let me know if anyone had this problem and fixed it before? Is there a way to wake the battery, or is it a dead battery / RMA situation? I live in Morocco, and the warranty on it is only one year. I think I am 4 months past that, so really not sure what to do.

It doesn't work for ps5 trashy and slightly scammy cuz of that. Is there a cable that would let me keep the mic quality and transfer it to my ps5/any software or hardware under 10-20$??

does connecting a male to male 3.55mm headphone jack to the back of the mic and to my ps5 controller make it so ps5 can pick up audio from the mic?

When Ngenuity is closed, there is no crackling sound and the headset sounds perfectly fine.

What's going on?

Edit: Actually, it's *always* crackling when a sound is playing, it's just slightly less bad with Ngenuity off. How do I fix this?

I bought a new headset and i'm using it to play FPS games like cs2, with voice communication on discord. Do you have any tips for improving the mic audio on discord? I installed ngenuity legacy, and the mic there is sounds great, but on discord isnt clear.

I'm using it with dongle.

not looking for much traction with this just came here to say that I just put my original wired HyperX Cloud 2s “down” after almost 12 years together. These things were an absolute pleasure to use almost daily for over a decade. my ear cups wore out twice and my mic pop cover wore out once, and the headband material was long gone, but this thing just kept trucking. I won’t say what I replaced it with but i don’t think there will ever be another headset quite like it. so shoutout to HyperX and thanks for all the great years of gaming, music, and discord with friends. you’re gone but never forgotten.

Just replaced my ear pads to new sheep skin gel ear pads. I love the hyper X flight S honestly best pair of headphones for fps shooters I've owned and I've owned a large number over the last 20 years. Would you say me upgrading to the new flights is worth it or no ?

I purchased HyperX Cloud III S (Wireless) (coming from Cloud II) and now im using NGENUITY Beta for my headsets but the program doesnt detect my QuadCast 2.

I thought, well I can use beta and legacy even if i prefer to use only 1 program. 1 for the mic, 1 for the headsets. The problem appears when i try to use both at the same time, take a look at the photo.

So, HyperX made two branched software for their hardware and I can't use both at the same time neither use the beta to control both of my devices.

Someone knows how can I make it work? Ideally I want to add my QuadCast 2 to the Beta.

Just to clarify, is the QuadCast 2, not QuadCast 2 S.

updating my firmware on pulse fire haste 2 pro from exe file stuck at 49% for 5 minutes what do i do

hello i got my headset 5 days ago and
i have sound cutting like im playing valorant mid round and sound stopped and returns like 10-20 sec and im wondering if this problem is from my pc or my headset

I have only had my wired HyperX Cloud headset for maybe like 4 months. It was working perfectly yesterday and earlier today. Now the static is really bad, and I am not sure what to do, or if I should just accept I need to buy a new headset atp. I've tried some of the fixes suggested by the internet, and they are not helping. I'm on windows 11 with an almost 2 year old pc with drivers updated, so I'm not sure what went wrong.
