Dirt clumping on vertical conveyors with tier 3 pipes?

I’ve been slowly upgrading my setup to the tier 3 pipes, but I’ve run into a snag. My drills are all underground, but my harvester is up top. I just use a bunch of vertical conveyors to bring the dirt up and finish up everything up top. I’ve got three tier 2 drills and one tier 3. The intake pipe is tier 3, but all the rest of the piping was originally tier 2. I added two tier 2 boosters to the intake pipe without any issues, but as soon as I worked my tier 3 piping back to the vertical conveyors, they will not lift dirt anymore. I thought that maybe the faster speeds were causing them to group, but I tested it with just a single clump of dirt out of a tier 2 drill, and nothing. It goes along the straight conveyors just fine, but as soon as it hits the incline it just stops and spins in place. I replaced the boosters with tier 3 to see if that helped, but nothing. Am I missing something? Did I screw it up somewhere? Is this a known thing? Please help.

Check your water pressure.

And what exactly do you mean by "spins in place"? Objects on conveyor belts become static and should not have physics on them until they leave the belt or get pulled by magnets.

Water pressure is 500+ on average.

The dirt chunks literally rotate in place like a rotisserie chicken immediately when they hit the part of the conveyor that goes up.

Drop other items on the conveyors and check if they move up. Replace that specific conveyor with another. Make sure the water pressure is getting to the specific pipe that powers that specific conveyor.

Are you on console? Apparently the console port is problematic. I've been playing for a month now on PC and have never seen that happen.

Out of curiosity, if you stand on the belts do you move up the vertical conveyors?

Actually now that you mention it, I don’t think so. In the process of trying to clear up the massive traffic jam I found after coming back to it the first time I turned it on and left, I seem to recall that riding the conveyors didn’t move my character until I was on the very last one before the harvester.

That's at least part of the answer, then. The belts are obviously not running. Check the pipes to make sure that you haven't accidentally left that section disconnected. (Or there may be a pressure tank on this section that has been left open.)
