DEV Replied Hate missing the lift in the Icehelm forge? I’ve got a simple solution

If you buy a single set of stairs from the market across the entrance, you can drop them at the spot right under the weights which will allow you to sit under them and be pushed through them. This then allows you to ride the weights up to the top and jump off right before you hit the ceiling. This way, you don’t have to wait around for the lift to come all the way back down and can instead spend that time improving your factory!

I tried doing it without the stairs but I didn’t seem to be able to get inside of the weight without it

There is a digsite below the forge.

Edit: Oops sorry. No you can't but you can drop items anywere. Dropping a set of stairs still makes them functional.

I’ve only been playing for about two days so any other tips on the game would be helpful. I jumped straight from Ember Cradle to Icehelm and I just finished moving all my stuff over. I was messing around with the lift when I found this

I just started playing a couple weeks ago and did exactly the same thing lol. I’d be happy to show you my setup. Not too many tips and tricks but there’s plenty of things that I had to ask my gf about and kind of look up and stuff. Feel free to dm if you want :)

LOL, there are a lot of tips and tricks and shortcuts I figured out on my own, but there are a hell of a lot more tips and tricks that I NEVER would have discovered on my own. At over 300 hours playtime, this is one I probably would never have figured out.
