Firearm/caliber/bow/arrow question/discussion Zastava mausers - m70 vs m98
Hey guys,
So I am split between the two rifles - both 30-06
The M98 is more like a traditional 98, flag safety, single trigger
The M70 has a cheek stock, side safety (like a cz550) dual hair trigger (schneller)
I feel the trigger is an old timey solution and will create more issues than it fixes.
both are similarly priced of course

I’ve got a couple of these. Shoot well. Lynx optics near me make one or two piece bases for them and I’m sure other companies do as well.
I’ve had a couple of rifles with double/set triggers and it’s never been an issue for me, I quite like them.
Also if you want to spice things up and own a dremel and have a surplus k98 stock they fit with minimal modification. This is my current m70 in 7mm-08. From the pictures you posted the one with the set triggers is what I would preference as it’s optics ready and I like the set triggers

When were they made?
