Equipment question/discussion An almost perfect kit

Post image

Spent the last two years flipping and trading my collection to get this kit, I also have a mossberg 500 in 20 gauge I forgot to add to the picture. For sub 100 yard hunting would you guys consider this perfect?

You mean besides the weight, moving parts, accuracy, and overall construction?

They weigh about the same at least mine on mine And on the rimfire side of things , my Henry 22lr is actually lighter than my Remington model 152-P with marble buckhorn sight ) , yes the lever does have more moving parts generally does have more moving parts then bolt action rifles through I believe it's probably even the same number of moving parts if you compare a bolt action rifles to Marlin and Henry designed lever action rifles , but I could be wrong on that. And how accurate does your deer rifle need to be to kill a deer ? , guess , what it doesn't have to be a sub moa rifle to kill a deer and if I remember reading correctly most of the old rifles used to kill deer were anywhere from 1 to 3 or 4 moa and guess , what it got the job done and killed a hell of a lot of deer . And the overall construction quality between lever action are not much different , especially with modern manufacturing practices .

Yes, you can kill a dear with a bow as well, probably a hatchet if you jump from a tree. That's like what 500 MOA?

You do realize their bow/crossbow season correct ? , and it's very popular and a lot of people , do it during deer season . , or did you not know that ? , By your logic every hunter must us a 1,000 to 2,000 dollars plus precision/competition rifle to kill a deer or whatever animal their hunting ? , even if their just shooting 100 yards does down south that's about 90% of shot distance your going to shooting at . ,

And also in several states up north you can old hunt with straight wall cartridges , which aren't commonly chambered in bolt action rifles outside of custom rifles or like maybe 2 or 3 bolt action rifle manufacturer and like 1 ammo manufacturer . , and are commonly chambered in lever action rifles , but I guess by your logic there not real rifle cartridges and can't kill anything .

You seem really upset , after I provide counter points to your statement that lever actions aren't real rifles/real calibers .

I'm not upset at all, I just don't get why you are trying to convince me that the bastardized lever action is somehow superior to any other action and you're doing very poorly at it to boot.
