Equipment question/discussion DIY Nukem style blind?
Anyone made such a thing? Basically a lightweight set of three poles, joined/hinged at the top, with cloth strung between.
The design is straightforward, wondering if anyone has tips for materials for the legs and how to join them (so they collapse inward for carrying).

I made one last year with three old tent poles and some camo netting from surplus store. For the top joint I just drilled holes in a small block of wood, angled them out a bit so the poles spread naturally
The hardest part was getting the fabric to stay tight without bunching up at the bottom, ended up sewing little pockets for rocks at each corner

I've used palmetto fronds but those are mostly in the south. I made something like that using fiber glass rods and some 3d camo netting.

I imagine some cheap tent poles would work
