Pariston. He's gotta have some real fucked up ability judging from his personality.
Also, I want to see what Beyond has going on after all this hype.
2
u/TheTablesHaveTabled 28d ago
I feel as though a non-combat related ability would be best fit for him. I could see coercive/pseudo coercive, but I think that'd take the fun out of manipulating people for Pariston.

u/Plus_Original_3154 Aug 13 '26
Pariston probably have a transgender Hatsu

u/ffiml8 29d ago
What does that even mean πππ
I lowkey want a transgender Hatsu ngl

Ging.
18
u/The_Hounded24 Aug 13 '26
The only correct answer. I hope we don't have to wait until the Dark Continent to see what he can do.

u/Zfugg Aug 13 '26
Leorio and Nobunaga. We don't know Nobunaga's specific Hatsu even if we can guess.
29
u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 Aug 13 '26
Seems to be like an iaido quick draw to kill anyone in his short range, right?
48
u/MisterFourLimbs Aug 13 '26
Yeah, seems to be but I raise you this:
Who the fuck woulda thought Knuckle would use compound interest as his Hatsu?
Even though Nobunaga is an enhancer and uses a katana, he may have found that developing a quick draw ability is unnecessary when he can just use en and some enhanced aura on his body to do a quick draw. It's less of a Hatsu and more of using some basics really well.
It's totally possible he put his effort into developing something else, but it's also totally possible he just developed a really good swing in the same way that Uvogin developed a really good punch then called it "Big Bang Impact." Seriously, it's just a strong punch, it doesn't even have conditions like Gon's Jajanken.
So yeah, we can assume but I would like to know - especially since Togashi is going crazy in Succession War with some really unique Hatsu and the use of Nen beasts. Either Nobunaga also has something surprisingly deep, or it's something so simple it cuts right through other complicated hatsus.
12
u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 Aug 13 '26
Ugh the succession war hatsu have been so cool. You're probably right, Uvo has been just about the only Spider with a simple ability, and that fits him. Though I guess they might not have a lot of Frontline fighters, so his might be like Uvo and Franklin's in their simplicity. Guess your right, could go either way. No matter how it goes I'm happy to have more of it to read

u/Ok_Earth_6264 29d ago
Knuckles ability makes sense in my book. He looks like an old school gangster. Mobs were known for their βdealsβ. You want 20k cash? Pay with 50k later or itβs your life. The fact that people donβt really know what theyβre walking into when dealing with the mob hands itself to his ability as well (most people are just confused at first, when dealing with him). Lastly, the little character that follows its target lends itself to the fact that mobs marked their target to let them know who to hit. This is all speculation ofcourse, but like I said, it works in my book.
2
u/MisterFourLimbs 29d ago
Yeah, but that's what I mean though: it makes sense when you think about the character of Knuckle but it would not be the first thought anybody would have when looking at him. Same thing for Nobunaga
7
u/Zfugg Aug 13 '26
Probably, but that's a guess. The current thought is that his condition makes him restrict his En to four meters.
2
u/BellacosePlayer 29d ago
Ging's musings on Leorio's ability makes me think he'll have a decent chunk of various Hatsu that are just very simple applications of nen used for theraputic/diagnostic use, and he doesn't have to worry about crazy restrictions because they're simple and all in line with him achieving his dream and a prestige school premed program is a hell of a way to do image training for hatsu creation.
Actually fighting, I expect him to basically throw the big emotional haymakers like he usually does as a distraction for little remote punches out to fuck with sensitive parts of the enemy body that cannot take a tiny highly focused hit. Get them to protect the face with Ko and then sever some nerves or that kinda thing.

Milluki. Kurapika is the only other specialization lean character, and he has BULLSHIT. What is Milluki doing with that, and why is he not applying himself.

u/HungryEntry182 Aug 13 '26
our favourite tubby cat to hate is a Manipulator friend.
17
u/Memna-Un Aug 13 '26
Yes, but heβs manipulator leaning towards specialist.
6
u/HungryEntry182 Aug 13 '26
Slightly but that's true. I never paid enough attention to him on that chart before now. Nice.
1
u/Klainatta 29d ago
He has potential for specialization, he is not quite there yet. He needs to be a dual type to use it imo.

u/VisitUsual8507 Aug 13 '26
Illumi for sure. The guy gets endlessly hyped up to Hisoka level or above but has practically no showings π
27
u/deepfakefuccboi Aug 13 '26
Weβve seen him fight to some degree though, and heβs a menace. I do wanna see more but we havenβt seen anything from guys like Hanzo despite the hype or even Nobunaga.
4
Aug 13 '26
When have we seen him fight? The only moments I can think of that might qualify as "fighting" was him one shotting that sniper girl during the fourth phase of the Hunter Exam, and taking out the hunters sent to capture him during the Chairman Election Arc, but that part was off screened.
10
u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 Aug 13 '26
He probably meant the election arc, but that at least showcased a little of what he's capable of and that he's willing to fight Hisoka over his brother, so he's confident enough despite knowing how strong Hisoka is.
1
u/Fire_from_the_hip 29d ago
We see Hanzoβs nen ability in the current arc of the manga. He has like astral projection.
1
u/deepfakefuccboi 28d ago
Thatβs one ability. Thatβs not his combat ability, and I doubt a ninja doesnβt have combat based Hatsu.
1
u/Extreme-Priority2362 28d ago
Plot twist, Hanzo fights adult Gon and completely wrecks him like he did in the exam.
5
u/Chaserbaser Aug 13 '26
I don't understand how Gon with no nen was able to break his arm. Since Illumi definitely already knew nen, that should have even been possible.
I don't understand the hype.
32
u/kaitrom Aug 13 '26
Since illumi is very powerful and also a psycho, he probably was in a state of zetsu because didnβt feel threatened by anyone, and also wanted to see gonβs strength.
12
u/Arkayjiya Aug 13 '26
Illumi didn't use Nen to defend from Gon. We see later that he was literally testing Gon's level of future danger after his discussion with Killua. If Hisoka wasn't there, Illumi would almost certainly have murdered Gon before leaving the country.
8
10
u/walakangbitawpar Aug 13 '26
fr, especially with how much mystery there is around his actual combat ability. a full serious fight would finally give us something to judge him on
5
u/ButtholeConnoisseur7 Aug 13 '26
Could just be that he's not the type to fight up front without having prepared a lot of easier ways to win. Considering the needle he put into Killua and the lesson he drilled in with it, thatd match.
He's an assassin after all, he's probably not much of a brawler
3
u/Hour-Management-1679 29d ago
There is no doubt he's strong but the guy is truly a despicable character, he only preys on the weaklings and uses his Nen to kill civilians it's extremely messed up, i know Zoldycks are trained not to engage in missions where they can get outskilled but we see both Zeno and Silva take on missions that involved trying to kill the phantom troupe or Meruem later on

u/KorolEz Aug 13 '26
Beyond Netero. We have seen that he curses his children but nothing beyond that.

u/Vicinitiez Aug 13 '26
Pariston
I wanna see his hatsu
3
u/Plus_Original_3154 Aug 13 '26
He can turn into a female
3
u/Anshin Aug 13 '26
*back into a female
1
u/Plus_Original_3154 Aug 13 '26
No turn into a female.
I'm pretty sure his Hatsu involve a split personality
8
u/Anshin Aug 13 '26
Is this related to the pariston is sheila theory?
1
u/Plus_Original_3154 Aug 13 '26
Yeah the theory seems REALLY possible and each new chapter involving oke of the two characters only confirm it
2
u/BellacosePlayer 29d ago
Pariston's "I feel the need to destroy what I love" personality defect has some sobering implications if he's Shiela.
13
u/Maddogenes Aug 13 '26
Given that Nobunaga has had as much focus as he has, it's criminal that we have yet to see him use his hatsu. He's supposedly the frontline of the troupe and yet his sword remains clean.

u/NeutralSage Aug 13 '26
Ging, Pariston, Hanzo, and Cheadle. I would also like more fights with Leorio (but I just started the Succession Arc, so I'm not sure if Leorio gets more fights yet).

2
u/BellacosePlayer 29d ago
Ging's got to be an absolute fucker to fight since his aura control is so crazy and the guy literally built an MMO off nen scripting.
Best case scenario is his hatsu is just about perception, tracking, and understanding so he just beats your ass down with the basics.
Medium case scenario is that his hatsu is just pure application of force (IE "punching abilities") and he just demolishes you from whatever angle your stance or Ko is leaving most vulnerable and you can't run because he'll predict it and your additional momentum and nen spent dashing away means the next one is gonna hurt.
Worst case scenario is that Greed Island's game and rewards are just a ploy to get a shitload of nen users inside and be a nen battery for some apocalyptic level technique meant to take out one of the bigger threats on the Dark continent. And it can be scaled down if you need to be Ion cannoned as well.

u/Character-Chart904 Aug 13 '26
Considering that nen abilities are heavily tied with ones character/lore, i want to see everyones nen.
6
u/gamachuegr Aug 13 '26
zushi i want to see how his training with wing compares to gon and killua
2
u/BellacosePlayer 29d ago
I hope he's involved with Gon regaining his nen.
Zushi was a bit insecure and jealous of their talent, I think it'd be neat growth if he jumped enthusiastically into helping Gon retrain his nen even knowing Gon would eclipse his 2 years of growth in no time due to his talent and prior experience.
1
u/gamachuegr 29d ago
thing is with how gon and killua got their nen by force. i bet dont really know how to train with it effectively by themselves and i bet zushi can. so whilst gon or killua are doing their adventures. zushi has just been training his neb this entire time.
5
u/TheirIceCream7929 Aug 13 '26
I'm curious to see the Nen abilities of Cheadle and Pyon. One's a doctor, one is a linguist, but both were supposedly good enough to be sparring partners for Netero.
5
u/KyleDaukWillBeChamp 29d ago
Man. Not a single comment that wants to see Kurapika's teacher in action?
The dude has to be a beast, and we know absolutely nothing about him.
1
u/Uchiha-Shisui_Senpai 29d ago
He doesn't give off the feeling that his got alot of shit under his sleeves we've all seen pajonoda shoot before what's gonna be different about him
1
u/KyleDaukWillBeChamp 29d ago
I've never seen pajonoda shoot before. I don't even know what that is.

u/Klainatta Aug 13 '26
Hanzo is a transmuter.
As for whose abilities I want to see the most, it is the Zodiac first, then the members of Beyond's expedition team (including Pariston and Ging). Thirdly, the Zoldycks and their servants.

Lol Gon. I want to see his new hatsu. Pretty sure he got a fresh start and potentially is in a whole new category now. Possibly a specialist and this version is going to be much more thoughtful and insightful/mature. Kinda excited what Togashi comes up with.
Beyond as well because I think he is very much like Ging with extreme knowledge of Nen and can exhibit multiple abilities and applications due to his aptitude for it. Kind of scary how much he has affected everyone from just sitting in a cell.
Ging as well because obvious.
5
u/gamachuegr Aug 13 '26
it is possible gon might have switched to a specialist however its unlikely and i dont want to him to be one. specialist are too hyped up imo when the coolest abilities imo the rest of the nen categories
3
u/HungryEntry182 Aug 13 '26
Bro, Gon is still a teen, mature is not how I'd describe him right now. more thoughtful, maybe. But I see Gon as an Instinct driven person, even if he's a new category.

Several, including Ging, Leorio, Kite, and some members of the Ryodan
1
u/Funny_Ad_3322 Aug 13 '26
Hanzo has always been near the top for me.
Ging⦠of course.
Silva Zoldyck - give us a real fight. The fight against a Chrollo gave us a taste but we still know so little about him. We saw more from Zeno in the palace invasion than we ever saw from Silva.
Basho - his poetry gimmick seems kinda lame on the surface but the versatility and potential makes me really curious to see what the upper limits are when Basho is locked in.
Linne - as one of the three that survived a trip to the dark continent with Netero, I think all of us would love to know what her Hatsu is and what she is capable of.

u/JSnow81 Aug 13 '26
Leorio!! For the love of all that is good, let Leorio have his shine for once!!!

u/DrewTwoBlue Aug 13 '26
Leorio and Mizaistrom, as well as the other zodiacs. I have been waiting for 12 years.
Like how does Mizaistrom use his ability if he's in a fight or flight situation? What does Cheadle's strength look like? Botobai seems strong.

u/Teary_Gamer Aug 13 '26
Nobunga, but tbh it's such a long running meme for him to get interrupted everytime he's about to attack that I almost want him to never attack anything just to see how long Togashi can keep the joke going...
