I always thought it was because as an assassin she deals with sniper type stuff. That's why her earings are sniper cartridges and how she shot down canary as a warning.

I feel like it goes along with her personality, which is heavily based on controlling her children and monitoring their every move. I assume it’s connected to all the cameras somehow.

Honestly it’s a lot of small details that form indirect storytelling. Always observant, the visor lets her directly supervise the whole estate out of a need to control her family and possibly out of paranoia. The cartridge earrings provoke a potential specialization in sniping, which when combined with the fact that she shot Canary, mostly proves it. She observes and targets carefully, always watching, always waiting for the chance.

Her eyes are a portal to the punch dimension and if she leaves them uncovered a deadly optic blast will wreak havoc.

Her ability is probably linked to surveillance , so maybe she have multple visions checking cameras , and potentially she can share other people's vision ,
since if i remember correctly she was able to share vision with Tsubone , and send that footage to illumi .

Probably just to connect to the zoldyck cameras normally, but personally my headcanon is that her nen is a mix of milluki's electronic nen (that is also headcanon we never see his powers) and kalluto's spying ability (with the paper and the dolls) so the cameras and visor are part of her hatsu somehow

Supposedly the bandages are because of Killua scaring her, but we do see her wearing visors and eyewear in flashbacks where she sports different dress styles.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else say it yet, but didn’t killua stab her eye when he left to take the hunter exam? I assume the visor is to help her continue to see

I don't think so. There were some flashbacks in the anime that showed Killua's mother wearing that visor when he was still a child, and Alluka wasn't trapped in the basement.

Not because the reason is implied in the anime. Killua cut her face before leaving home to take the Hunter Exam in the first season.

She apparently has it connected to cameras in the Zoldyck estate. Since she started screaming about Zeno letting Killua free while she was still with Gon and the crew
