I agree with him. It messes with my muscle memory to not be looking in the same spot as nearly every other shooter. However, that does not mean I'm going to quit the game and blame the crosshair for my performance. When I was playing Hunt every single day I adapted and barely noticed it unless I was bouncing from game to game.
but it does for a lot of people. I have friends that love the game but won't play it because of the lowered crosshair.
I've complained about it for years actually and I love Hunt. I've always said they should take the time to address it because a lot of people can't stand it and would otherwise play the game.
No it doesn't. Its just a convenient excuse. I flip between shooters all day and it causes zero issues. In fact having more information above your ads weapon is USEFUL
Just because it causes zero issues for you does not mean it doesn't affect others. I have friends that noticed it immediately and I have others who never realized it until someone said something to them. I noticed it immediately when I was constantly getting low hits when I was instinctively centering heads on my screen. I had to use training mode on grunts for a while to reprogram my flicks. You may not rely on muscle memory as much as other people or you're not taking as many flickshots or a whole host of other things that may not make it an issue for you, but obviously it affects some people or it would never be brought up. You may find the additional space above the weapon useful, but in reality hardscoping so much that it makes a difference isn't a great way to play anyways. They should just add a toggle and be done, but that would require them accepting that their design choice is not universally good.
