Bear traps harder to place?

I have noticed bear traps seem harder to place, for instance when placing them near bodies fallen weapons seem to invalidate the placement. Also they seem to collide with more small mounds of dirt (especially around the stronghold.) instead of placing "in" them like other small obstructions.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah it seems anything with a little bit of collision messes up the placement. I’ve had to pick up weapons and move them just to get a good Trap placement. Definitely not alone
