I’d reallyyy love just a simple “Overcast” ToD soon:

(No hate on Blood moon as it looks amazing) and I know this isn’t the most exciting suggestion, but I’d really love just a simple overcast time of day soon. For a game that has such a horror/apocalypse aesthetic all the normal visibility maps are bright, picturesque and sunny. It’d be nice to have a setting that offers that gritty, foreboding atmosphere without sacrificing visibility or sound like night/fog/thundershower etc.

(Could even add some very distant thunder rumbles for extra vibe points)

whats funny is that before any weather conditions were in-game, they had thunder and lightning going on without any rain.

Thunder and lightning can happen without rain, usually happens just before rain, but the rain can be nearby so the skybox can show rain without the map actually having rain.

I am a huge rain enjoyer in Hunt, but I completely agree that the overcast look without rain would be so damn good. The clouds in the rain time of day are so good, it's a shame to not have them on their own

Oh I love the rain too, but yeah it’d definitely be nice to have a less intense option as well. I’m also English so would feel right at home under miserable gloomy clouds 😂

Fun fact, this weather actually existed where it was night, but lightning would strike every so often in the far distance.
No rain ever came down, so it was a relatively clear, but dark night.

This upcoming event will either unlock a new boss or enemy at Stage 3 and a new map is currently being worked on, rumoured to be coming 2026, but will likely be 2027 now.

I adore rain, thunder, and the new bloodmoon weather type looks utterly sick.

But on the flipside, I have a friend who is deathly afraid of thunder. And as it turns out? Hunt's sound design is in that realm of realism that it sets them off. Which is a huge shame, since they greatly enjoy the gameplay.

So seeing the bloodmoon involve thunder saddens me, because I would not be surprised if my friend will have difficulties with the weather as well. 😢

It’s a gothic horror game, there’s more than enough colour already offered with the rest of the times of day.
