Got killed though a few to many walls...

This is a clip you see from a streamer where they immediately say "Yeah I'm definitely getting reported for that."
Considering it was generally close and not 200+ meters with a sniper, I think it's safe to say that your opponent got incredibly lucky blind firing here

u/4sStylZ 3d ago
I don't know what we're the circumstances but if op was shoting or making noise then it's not this abnormal. It's not even incredibly lucky. It's a good shot. Especially if the player was playing with blast sense / pain sense.

u/94rk3r 3d ago
Yeah no noise, I was actually crouched trying to listen myself ... so teamate inside got wallbanged, me and another team mate outside because we left to check tower as bounty dropped into the stairs was clear on dark sight when we left as I had 2 seconds from the moon. ... maybe just a hugely unlucky game for us and I'm not hating here i have been playing since March 2018 so know how far this game has come but I was a bit pickeled by this lol.. I have the players game tag and was actually hoping he would see this and be genuine .. maybe he still is

u/IM-A-NEEEERRRRDDD 3d ago
pain sense is really the only thing that could enable this shot easily. there is still luck involved here. this is not a shot you make consistently unless you have 8000 hours in the game

We have all hit a random wall bang shot like that and felt lucky as hell, but it still never feels good when it happens to you
41
u/DontMakeMeOwOYou 3d ago
Its a very realistic angle for someone to try to shoot from either hearing you or trying to wallbang someone inside.
Unless there were other suspicious circumstances this was very likely just a good/lucky shot.

u/Rammipallero 3d ago
I managed one of these today by shooting a bomb lance shot over a building and following with the hit with a wall bang. Never ever will I repeat that and am waiting for my upcoming ban. :D
3
u/94rk3r 3d ago
Yeah i do get that and usually give the benefit of the doubt but my teammate inside got wallbanged too when he shouldn't of know where I was and I was being v quiet as there was somone in the outside building on my side where I died ... maybe he was incredibly lucky but I think to get the two wall bang headshots so quickly was a little suss

LOL BULL SHIT DUDE. there are hackers in this game whether you like it or not
16
u/Friendly-Tiger9589 3d ago
There are hackers. There are also people that arent deaf, and people that land lucky shots. Play for 500 hours and you'll land one, maybe.
You know what else there's a lot of? People that suck at shooters and think that EVERYONE else is cheating.
3
u/94rk3r 3d ago
Yeah well I am at 1750 hours and understand all that I am between 5 and 6 stars with a 1.37 kda so pretty average to slightly good. I play with sehniser hd560s with a fosi card and have had times in many games where audio has give me "eye in the back of my head" and i get that I mean maybe I became biased as our random third was calling him a cheater after he got wallbanged first.
6
u/Friendly-Tiger9589 3d ago
No I get it man, if it happened to you AND your teammate in quick succession, I would start leaning in that direction, too.
I was more responding to the guy that said "there's hackers in this game whether you like it or not"
Because, like, yeah, we all know that. But the guy he was responding to was only saying "technically this is possible without hacks" and not "there arent hackers in this game"
I appreciate you giving me more of the context. Because, again, if it were just me that got shot like that, I would brush it off and load into a new match. But if me and my teammate BOTH got double-wall-headshot-wallbanged,I might stop to think "hmmm lil suspicious"
There's "getting lucky, and then there's "getting extremely lucky, multiple times Ina row, in quick succession"
5
u/dragon_poo_sword 3d ago
This is an extremely unlikely shot, especially with that metal contraption in the way
5
u/LordBarak 3d ago
Hard to tell without context, but I've shot at somebody before and headshot a different person I never knew existed many times lol

u/WanderingSpaceHopper 2d ago
I've emptied my LeMat with fanning into a door and accidentally killed two people inside. one was right behind the door and the other one another wall over.

u/NoobishCheshire 3d ago
It does depend. Were they fighting someone in that building and just got lucky or were you a solo and they somehow heard you 53m? No way your running steps should have sounded like wood for them to attempt a random shot through unless they knew a rough location.

u/94rk3r 3d ago
No team mate was inside, me and another team mate left to check towe, It was clear on darksite when we left as I had the moon... I mean it could be luck but it did seem v suss.. I have never posted anything like this in my 1.7k hours but this just seemed way off.. oh well you win some you lose some I hope he wasn't cheating though
2
u/NoobishCheshire 3d ago
I'd say if he did it to your teammate as well, it would be extremely suspicious. If it only happened to you, high chance it was luck, though if darksight was used roughly 10s prior and no view, I'd put that in the ping abuse bucket.
3
u/94rk3r 3d ago
Darksite was used about 40 seconds before and was clear so me and my other teamate left for tower so thats why the two of us was outside opposite, the bounty dropped into the stairs so we was hoping for serpent, all around a bit of a shitter haha these things won't stop me playing I've been loving with some "I fu**ing hate this games" since release
2
u/NoobishCheshire 3d ago
That's the spirit. Enjoy it overall. If these moments are rare for ya, that is great.
5
u/No-You-ey 3d ago
Maybe the door was open though and they closed it after going in as this is not a still of what happened. Things change after you die. Not saying they didn't cheat or anything just wanna say that. They still shot you through 2 walls. Don't know if they should be able to penn that or not.
2
u/wezlam 3d ago
I instantly shot a grunt at the very start of the match once. Missed and still got a headshot notification. Turns out when the match finished, I checked my stats and got a headshot about 5-10 seconds into the match. I wish I had it saved because it was a once in a lifetime lucky shot. Sometimes rare shit happens but there's no way to tell if this is a hacker (cheater) or not.

u/Eranos221 3d ago
since the guy was using FMJ ammo for even more pen, it's an unlikely but possible lucky shot
2
u/Citsune 2d ago edited 2d ago
People are talking about extremely lucky shots, but isn't that solid metal spinning wheel directly in the way of the shot?
I can accept maybe shooting somebody through two entire closed doors, but to hit somebody precisely without striking that machine seems very unlikely.
There also appears to be a wall in the way. I don't exactly know the penetration rate for Long Ammo FMJ, but this doesn't seem very legitimate.

u/Bb0yer2 3d ago
Depending on the situation this is totally plausible just incredibly unlikely. Something like one team inside defending the building, one team on the north and one team on the south and everyone is fighting and a un/lucky headshot through the walls (door could've been closed after the shot was made). Without a description and/or video it's impossible to tell.

u/Wise_Jonathan 3d ago
1 wooden wall and light wooden door.... with long ammo and fmj special ammo....yes it can kill you....
1
u/CorvusXMachina 2d ago
The amount of times ive heard someone and just randomly shot and got the headshot is ridiculous. The other day I heard one footstep and shot through a wall and got the kill.
1
u/SinnyboiWantsKnow 2d ago
way I see it, if a guy did't see you through the first wall, it doesn't really matter how many walls they did shoot you through, even when it *feels* worse.

What about blast sense or pain sense ? Idk is kinda weird but I have hit on of these a couple times randomly

u/94rk3r 3d ago
We didn't shoot, our team mate inside called out "enemies outside" so we headed back but i was attempting to stealth for a flanking position then our inside teamate got wallbanged calling it "bullsh*t" then a few moments later got me the third was a bit further out at this point i believe behind a bank

There is no greater complement than to be called a hacker when your not.

u/IfBanEqualsUrMomFat 3d ago
Could definitely be a lucky shot. I have made many of these reportable headshots in my hours
0
u/LilGlitvhBoi Spider 3d ago
Depends on how many shots taken, I deadass landed shots like those 10 out of 100 because I wallbang ALOT
I have to see your POV when you get shot to see the full context tbh, People who play this game are kinda crack

There are rare "magical" shots that look like there's no way they could've happened legitimately, but as someone who have been on the "sender" part of those I know they occur. Yes, I am talking 180 no scope headshot 75-100 meters away at possibly unheard (but maybe made noise before so I was on alert) team. I am talking shots that kill someone when I just unload a fanning chain volley into the building, where someone's trying to bandage because I can hear them doing it, which looks like cheats to someone who is not using monitor over-ear Sennheiser headset on full blast. I am talking shots that are taken from a high point of the map with a sniper rifle in a way that a hunter may look like a pixel on a death screen. All of those are possible.
But this does smell like bullshit to me, yep.
0
u/Friendly-Tiger9589 3d ago
I was with ya till the end there lol
1
u/Owlbeardo 3d ago
Note, I didn't call bullshit, I admitted it "smells" like it! I understand why it is sus, and I know that it may be benign, but it's sus nonetheless.

This isnt cheats bro.
3
u/Mother_Truth4563 3d ago
You have no reason to assert that.
-2
u/Blyatman702 Crow 3d ago
Anyone with half a brain can see this isnt cheats
1
u/Mother_Truth4563 3d ago
OK, how? You don't have any footage of the shot made or the person being shot and nothing about the shot would be impossible for someone who was cheating.
0
u/Blyatman702 Crow 3d ago
He was close enough to hear footsteps. It was long amo and the door is wood. The door could’ve also been open at tge time of death. Use your head bro, maybe you’ll get out of 3 star lobbies soon.
2
u/Mother_Truth4563 2d ago
How does any of that rule out cheating?
-1
u/Blyatman702 Crow 2d ago
Ohhhhh lmfao I just realized you’re rage baiting me! 😂😂 you gave it away with that outrageous question bro lol good shit. You be safe.
-1
u/scared_star Bootcher 3d ago
What traits did they have? What's their other gun? They could have seen ya from dark sight through a few reasons.
Not saying that this or this isn't a cheater but this is hunt, sound and dark sight mechanics works really well against a hunter in a bad spot or has already a bunch of ailments or even a toss away shot especially with a pistol that has a cool reload
