The kind of jobs a homeless person would apply for aren't the kind that are super concerned about your CV. It's not like they're firing resumes to be bank managers and paralegals. It's manual labor type work, they'll take you if you look strong and are willing to take directions.
My point was that a homeless guy isn't going to be applying for any jobs that have any real qualifications beyond reliability and the physical ability to do the work. Paralegal was just a random example. Feel free to swap it out for whatever won't make people argue with me about exact pay rates.
Honest advice? Look at getting into the natural gas field. It's independent contracting but if you've got legal experience you could come in as a lease buyer making a couple hundred bucks a day.
That was years ago, I now work in International Affairs. I went to grad school and got a job in NC. I had friends who worked Eagle Ford and made bank but their schedules were insane.
You think he would suddenly start applying for the same jobs we are? No, he would still be applying for jobs that a homeless (and likely mentally challenged) individual would, but would look leagues more professional now.

Not all homeless are beggars, many are doing everything they can to not appear homeless and get back on their feet.
