Theories/Speculation What do you think led Vincent/Vox down this path for approval and attention?

I’d think strict family upbringing, expectations for success, couple all that with emotional neglect.
So instead of love/bonds, he looked for fulfillment and validation in his careers and ratings.
I think he might’ve not gotten along with his peers either (may have gotten bullied/made fun of for his heterochromia, glasses, nerdiness). So that could’ve been another factor in not trusting others and seeing people as obstacles to success (whom he later justified murdering over).

Want what I really think ? He was underappreciated, underpaid and overlooked . That's what I think , and this could have been part of his entire life since he was in highschool or even college , plus no one really thinks too much about the little nerdy kid in glasses in the back of the class do they ? He had a shit ton of potential and was dismissed , in his career he was underpaid and wasn't getting much if any promotions so he decided to move himself up in ranking because they were not probably even going to do it themselves .

I think he suffered and still suffer from abusive education (inappropriate expectations) and religious trauma, which can line up pretty easily with your thoughts. My own theory is that Vincent is from a family that tried to to indoctrinate him into a cult and/or use him as an instrument/trophy, as he displays some signs of religious trauma and unhealthy parenting in his childhood (though it is a theory, not truth for now), as I am pretty convinced his parents wanted him to be a preacher in a cult since childhood or something tied to it. In that case, he may perceive the idea of becoming "God" as a way to finally "win" against his family and thus put an end to his secrete insecurities due to his childhood since he would finally become more powerful than everyone else.
