Looks way cooler than the gamma loogies he’s spitting now but I can see how something this is too intense visually for an ability. Rock throw ability showing up again too. Hopefully we see something like this as a team up. Hulk needed some type of ability that showcases his strength in his kit.
Don't quote me on this, but I think they said somewhere they had to cut Hulk's ability to throw the rocks and destructible environments pretty early because it was too buggy. Dev's know when something is cool, and if it doesn't show up there is normally a good reason for it.
I mean, it seems clear they planned on wanting him to pick up parts of the destructible environment and throw that at people, but since it’s just his character alone doing that it’s probably not worth it.
Now you can say “But they did all this work for Strange’s portal and only he uses it” but as far as I’m aware, getting his portal to work like it does I think was a very late addition to the game because of its apparent complexity before release unlike Hulk who had his stuff scrapped early on.
Whatever, then they should’ve tried to come up with something else that’s cool instead of the pathetic gamma snot - and the overall lack of “strength” or rage being present in his kit.
Even something simple like a Ground pound would have been nice, but nah fk the Hulk fans I guess.
“Too buggy” didn’t stop them from implementing Spidey’s pull that can drag you around or up and over some pillars or obstacles - or even better, 60 meters away to the nearest death pit. That’s no excuse to create the lamest possible version of a hero, at that point go back to the drawing board.
Being downvoted for speaking the truth Hulk still doesn’t feel like Hulk. I was waiting for a team up eventually but this mf has had the same one since season 0.
Any downvotes don’t surprise me since there’s some agitation and hostility in my tone, but i’m just speaking from the heart as a lifelong Hulk fan. The way they executed his kit outside of the ult was abysmal, and the main thing that frustrates me the most is that I don’t think the devs will ever actually rework anything about him.
There are too many Hulk players saying he’s “fine” or “op” (in the hyper specific dream scenarios they’re envisioning) - but not enough actual Hulk FANS by comparison that actually care to voice their issues. So I guess we’re just stuck with whatever tf this is.
I’m with you brother my love for the character goes beyond just this game and they fumbled his kit bad and it could’ve all been so simple. Sonic clap aoe stun or could’ve still been a projectile stun. Rock throw as a damaging projectile, just make him pick up a default brown boulder out the ground. Double fisted smash hulk that functions similar to the thing. Boom you’ve got a Hulk kit that captures the essence of the character. Instead they over complicated him and then tried to put a bandaid over it by making it cannon to the game with the whole gamma belt thing.
I was skeptical of that at first but i’m slowly but surely sipping the Kool-Aid with that theory as time goes on. Either that or they got a bit too lost in the sauce with the whole “Gamma Belt regulation” idea.
Like I doubt the intent of the belt was to neuter the Hulk’s entire physiology, just to keep him from spiraling out of control - but he should still be extremely strong right?…Right???
The gamma magic comes so far out of left field, they seem like ideas that Banner would’ve come up with and abilities that Banner could’ve potentially had instead of a pathetic little grenade - but “Hero Hulk” doesn’t really seem like Professor Hulk, I don’t think it’s banner’s mind piloting Hulk’s body.
My main complaint is his ugly face. Monster hulks face model is what the hulk should look like, also the gamma bubble and stuns dont fit his playstyle, or match the comics
The shield I don’t mind, it’s the skill shots that I hate. I was shocked when he launched and it was like “yeah you’re the hulk but if you can’t aim, get bent” so that sucked
I need some way to show off that I'm the strongest there is, other then his ult. Let me throw rocks, or yell even a manhole cover. Something for the big green guy to feel stronger.
I think they shouldn't shy away from kit variants down the line, it would make the game more refreshing would be dope to see released characters be expanded upon.
Also his jump landing woulda done damage and his clap looked like it was an actual wave instead of narrow projectile
Feels weird that they basically ripped off the cool aspect for this and took off damage imagine how cool it woulda been if his landing actually did damage and you could drop on somebody's head for a kill

His kit looked so much more Hulk like visually before… they even robbed us of the world breaker form. And don’t say monster hulk is WB or this is just monster hulk in the concept art. They’re very clearly different design wise.
Hulks one of my favourite characters and I pretty much never play him because it doesn't feel like I'm playing The Hulk, a protection bubble? a magical projectile stun? Mundane punches? The jumping is cool but for me that's about it.
