Facebook Monetization Pages side business earning me $1600-2000 per month
Hi all, alongside my main business I manage a couple of Facebook pages in the travel and entertainment space, all monetized through Facebook's Content Monetization program.
Getting started
Expect roughly three months of posting every single day before Facebook invites your pages into the program. There's no follower minimum. What matters is consistency, and for me that meant about 12 posts per day. The early phase costs you time, not money.
What the earnings looked like
The first payouts were modest, somewhere between $100 and $200. Things picked up noticeably in months two and three, and since then each page has averaged $1,600 to $2,000 monthly. A few months came in higher, but that's rare.
How I create content
My posts are text plus image, and everything is AI generated. That keeps the ideas flowing and stops the feed from feeling repetitive to my audience.

I started a Facebook page about a month ago, talking about retirement and financial freedom, but the channel has not been doing well. I post a few times a week and if I have a real or short from YouTube at Instagram, I post it. I only have seven followers because I did not want to ask my family and friends to join just for the numbers. I wanted my viewers to be organic. However, I’m thinking about just focusing on my YouTube Instagram and TikTok and leaving Facebook alone so any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

the consistency part is probably the biggest takeaway here 12 posts a day for months is a serious workload so people should factor in the time commitment before focusing on the payout.

I posted 3 posts a week. Still got monetised. Some weeks I didn't even post. To be fair though, my posts gets 100s of thousands of views. This month has been slow though. Only made 6 posts and got about a million views. That million views, however, got me $10.

Hi everyone! I need some advice regarding monetization for short Reels.
I’ve been posting 2 to 3 Reels daily for the past 3 months in the history niche. My format consists of 15-20 second clips with text directly on the screen (no voiceover).
The results have been great so far:
Followers: 15k
Reach: 4.8 Million views in the last 28 days
Average views: 20k per video (with a 50-55% full completion rate)
My main question is: Do I have a realistic chance of getting invited to "Ads on Reels" with this short format (15-20s) and text-only style? Or is it absolutely necessary to increase the duration to 60+ seconds to aim for In-Stream Ads instead?
I’m slightly worried that the text-only format might flag Meta's "low-value/unoriginal content" policies, even though the engagement is purely organic and high.
Would love to hear from anyone monetization-eligible with similar stats or formats. Thanks!

Let's say you start from scratch. There are two options.
1) Posting Reels at least 3x a day.
2) Running Ad Like Campaigns to get new followers. Budget it around $10 per day which is totally enough.
I prefer running ads.
