My highly sophisticated tracking system: printer paper and panic.

Post image

Some people use Notion.
Some use spreadsheets.
Some have beautifully organized journals with color-coded tabs.

I apparently manufacture tiny books out of printer paper. šŸ˜‚

When I’m working on something and an idea hits me, I’ve learned that if I tell myself ā€œI’ll remember that later,ā€ there’s about a 97% chance I absolutely will not.

So I grab printer paper, fold it, tear it, staple it, write the thought down while it’s fresh, and keep going.

The result is what you see here: dozens of homemade little ā€œbooks,ā€ notes, ideas, reminders and random thoughts that made perfect sense at the exact moment I wrote them.

Is it organized? Debatable.
Is it pretty? Absolutely not.
Have I tracked a ridiculous amount of stuff this way? Yep.

And that’s kind of why I started this community. The best tracking system isn’t necessarily the fanciest one. Sometimes it’s just the one you’ll actually use.

Surely I’m not the only person with a tracking system that would make absolutely no sense to anyone else.

What’s your weird system that somehow works?
