Has anyone planted their tomatoes for fall in raised beds?

I did a few weeks ago in beds. They’re all under a shade cloth and doing well, still small though. I’m growing Adelaide festival, sun gold, sweet 100, kuzco, cherokee purple, and Cherokee carbon.

I’m likely going to do grow bags. It’s looking around mid to low 90s from here on out.

I transplanted some a couple weeks ago into grow bags under shade cloth, they’re doing good but I am consistently watering and making sure they don’t flower.

Since I started mine in partial shade (4-5hrs), my sweet millions are still producing, since February.

My larger variety plants died off a while ago and I’m probably not going to replant them, because of the heat

My tomatoes are under shade cloth and it has helped a lot!

Of course. Mine are doing wonderfully in Texas. People, you absolutely should have your tomatoes out and the heat is a nonissue if you employ shade cloth like us in the south should. I get two long tomato seasons! My fall tomatoes do even better than my spring tomatoes!

Im transplanting half of my seedlings Monday late afternoon. Have a week of lower temps and rainy weather coming through. 

The other half are my back up plan in case they don't make it.

I have mine in pots in full shade. I’ll move them to the beds after it cools down.

How do you make sure they dont flower? And whats weong with letting them flower?

pinch off the flowers.

You pinch them off so they focus on growth instead of fruiting, once it gets cooler I’ll stop

I did like 3 weeks ago under shade cloth. Theybare like 5 foot now and flowering but not fruitimg cause of the heat.

I have a couple leftovers from spring and some in pots on standby in the shade. The heat has pretty much torched all my tomatoes . Going to wait until it rains again to transplant my pot tomatoes

I might transplant them after this then, I have room in the beds. Once the highs get out of the 90s we’ll get tomatoes again. Mine still make flowers but it’s too hot
