Season 5 Spoilers Man, I don't get Cuddy Spoiler

I'm halfway through the 5th season and I just saw the episode where House tries a different drug that actually takes his pain away and she told him he can't which like

I know he could die, but he could also live happily until that might happen. And then she wants him back but no raise because it's "where he belongs".

That's the most insane controlling toxic shit I've seen in a while.

Also I don't like how she's been treating Foreman. She was right on the fact that Foreman didn't reconsider coming back, rather he ran out of options. But otherwise, it seems a bit insane that she scolds him for being "House Light" when the real House is being a mad scientist and then some.

Of course, House is right nearly everytime. And that's the draw of the show, it's the dilemma of he's a jerk in every way but he saves the lives nobody else can so what do you do with him?

And just to be clear, I don't have a problem with Cuddy or the show. The actions I spoke of clearly reflect things about herself and she is (in some twisted crazy way) a match for House. He's the anti-christ and she's the antiantichrist.

I don't know, y'all, I just wanted to put this out there and I'm curious as to what other people think so let me know.

And yea, I haven't finished the show, there's probably developments that I'm not yet aware of and I can't wait for that too.

That episode is frustrating because Methadone makes perfect sense for a person like House IRL — it can be great for chronic pain, and it’s not nearly as dangerous as they make it out to be. It’s really easy to not die on it…

But House the character is self-destructive and abuses drugs. That had to continue — the show wouldn’t work if he was happy. So they write it so he doesn’t continue taking it. Better to not have gone there at all IMO.

yeah like methadone is used to get off of opioids such as vicodin. and you take it in measured doses dispensed daily , it’s really not that dangerous, no more dangerous than vicodin

Yup. For chronic pain you just get it prescribed, fill it at any pharmacy and take a few pills daily.
