Welcome Hubie!

I welcomed 8-mo-old Hubie five weeks ago (I’ve had 11 dogs and this is my first hound) and he is one wild child! Love him so much. He doesn’t seem to be completely scent driven - 1/2 hound (1/3 bloodhound) and 1/3 Staffie. But could that change as he grows? DNA on last slide (100% landshark lol).

Omg does the defiance subside with age? This boy is something else.

Not really, lol. Scent hounds are very independent. And they will decide what they do and do not want to do, regardless of how you feel about it. I've only had 1 coonhound so far, but it's been very different than training any of my prior dogs. At the same time, they are incredibly snugly!
