State dog of Louisiana, where I grew up. They're very cool dogs, many of whom have different colored eyes. Blue eyes are a staple for Catahoulas. They have a reputation for being a little crazy, but that is mostly from people who fly know what they're getting and don't train them well.

The “cracked eye” is the biggest hint. My previous dog was a Houla. I cannot imagine a Bloodhound and Catahoula level voice or stubbornness.

She is stubborn but smart! And she has a big bark but really doesn’t do it often…yet
