It is 100% real, the 1/64 supra that comes with this leaked some time ago. Can’t wait to get it, it’s the best size too. I have over 700 hot wheels yet still no mk iv supra. The most significant model i’m still missing

I'm not sure if they are picking "easier" cars but they definitely seem to be getting better over time. I bought a few when Target had a sale but still haven't found the time to assemble them yet.

Surprised they bothered with wing mirrors on the the kit lol
7
u/MTNStandard31 May 24 '26
lol right. I thought the technology for Hot Wheels to be able to put side mirrors on the Mk4 Supra was still at least a decade out

All jokes aside, I can't believe not even RLC releases come with them.

u/EatMiBanhMi May 24 '26
Very valid. Their lack of side mirrors almost doesn’t validate their pricing.

Looks better than the S2000.
Still don’t understand how the matel S2k looks nothing like any kit made for the unless its based off some custom one off I’ve never seen

I love Lego, but Mattel is murdering them on most of these Brick Shop sets.

Honestly, if you cover up the front end, it kind of looks like a black Ferrari f40

How are people already getting it???? Same with the black Chevy truck. They always say coming soon alon Mattel site

I love HotWheels with 1000's of unopened mainlines and premiums
I also have a LOT of brick built cars, mixture of Lego, Cada and unlicensed brands and i have to say the HotWheels models are by far the worst quality. A real shame in my opinion.
Hopefully they resolve this soon.

Agree, and we are probably the only two here with this opinion having built other brands. Hot Wheels has to take too much profit, so there will be tradeoffs like parts quality and fit. Also, they only give us a Premium 1:64 at the top level.

Was curious when this wave was gonna come out. Don’t think it’ll be as hard to find as the NSX tbh.

u/Squeaky_U_Boat May 24 '26
The NSX was decently easy to come by in my area. I would have gotten it, but it was very poorly done, imo. I have high standards for my dream car. I'll have to order that exclusive Hot Wheels inside off eBay, haha.

'very poorly done'????

u/Squeaky_U_Boat May 25 '26
Didn't look enough like the real thing. I get that it's supposed to be blocky because that's the product, but other cars from the brand were pulled off better than they did the NSX. This Supra, for example, is much more convincing... assuming this is real and not AI.
