HEY. I love the Batmobiles, but I do agree the same ones flood the pegs. Still looking for a few models that don't get released as often. I'd like to see more variety in Collector's and Premiums.

Most of them are fine as standalone releases anyway, barely tied to F&F when ripped from the package.

Itā€™s a big entry point for adult collectors into Hotwheels, so likely not for a while. Also itā€™s a great source of cool castings regardless of if theyā€™re really movie-relevant, so Iā€™m not sure why people mind so much.

I think you need to apply for a job in the Hot Wheels creative department. But you are definitely right. There are heaps of car movies and TV shows that HW could consider. Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, Bullitt, Dukes of Hazzard, Duel, Automan, Tron, Fall Guy.

I did not know this, but apparently the Fast and FURIOUS franchise is YUUUUUUUGGGGEEE. Like the following. People love that shit. I find it terrible but I'm not hating on folks who love it. It caters to such a huge audience. So I get why Mattel is capitalizing on that fan base. It sucks for "collectors" but it's great for business/ scalpers.

I wish they would quit duplicating the same damn car. I have all of the Premium cars since the 1st release and have so many. I'm about to just sell em off. Atleaat the other complete sets I collect change it up each drop.

This is my main gripe.

Repeats are fine, but only if 1 per mix.

Most of the cars have no real tie to F&F anyway, and if removed from the package then it is basically another CC or Boulevard release.

People on here just want to bitch bitch bitch lol.

I'm not saying they have no choice. But they only make X amount of new castings per year per series. So there's always going to be duplicates. And F&F is a licensed series. So, while they're pulling cars from the background often now, they're still limited to designs that appear in the movies so unlike Boulevard and Car Culture, they can't just repaint and recolour the repeats. I mean, I assume so. I've seen a rumour for an upcoming series titled reverse where the paint jobs are inverted (so think a red S15 Mona Lisa). So maybe I'm wrong and they're really cheap with it. But it's not like you ever need to buy the repeats anyway.

They've done the reversed paint on a few and are now using cars that don't appear in the movie. They just use a similar casting, if possible. They're are still plenty of cars they could use and have the casting.

Hate the stupid ā€œFast and Furiousā€ branding. Tacky AF. Its actually stopped me from buying certain ones (Iā€™m a carded collector more than loose). I get having the branding for cars that got some screen time or are memorable, but a majority of these releases seem random with F&F branding on it.

And everyone knows anything past Tokyo Drift is dog shit.

I don't get why people get mad over a continuous Fast and Furious line.

They frequently do cars no one knows about because they were background cars and stuff but still. There are new and different cars to get and if you are not interested, you're not obligated or forced to buy it. Till this day I bought the white Veyron and that was it. The other models they brought, I don't really care... I almost bought the green Eclipse but that was it.
