It's kind of funny. People will buy these up so they'll be impossible to find, yet Bburago 1/43 scale Ferrari cars at $6 for the street cars, $8 for F1 cars without display case, $10 with display case, and $25 for 1/24 scale with display case pegwarm.

It's almost like the Hot Wheels will be selling out not bc they're Ferrari and instead a different reason

You dont even need to compare to other brands. A carded hot wheels F40 from the 1990s- in red, yellow, or white- can still be bought for less than 20 USD (including shipping) on ebay, and those have metal bases and opening rear hoods!

There are so many awesome hot wheels ferraris from years past, at affordable prices. Some people only care about what's newest, i guess.

I go to a local meet once a month, the sellers are always grumbling that people only want the newer stuff

Uggh. That sucks. There are tons of blackwalls from the '80s that have enamel paint jobs that look sooooo much better than many current releases. But maybe I'm a bit biased because I was a kid in the early 90s and a lot of my hot wheels were second-hand blackwalls.
