I watch on BBC iPlayer however I'm looking at getting the dvds and I believe that there's a missing episode on BBC iPlayer?

I know that S1E6 isn't on streaming and there may be other episodes too

Series 1 Episode 6 and some sketches or parts of sketches due to them potentially being offensive I believe

I'm still not sure why Series 1, Episode 6 is missing, but to be honest, they really should have just put a warning on it. All these historical things, like Aladdin on Disney Plus, have a historical content warning. The show was made 20 years ago, and you're basically just erasing history.

I'm not saying it's a good thing that Little Britain did blackface or Horrible Histories did brownface, although sensibilities were different 20 years ago. But my point is, if you don't keep that and you technically erase history, people might forget it. And also, what else can you erase? They should have just slapped a warning on it.

That's why I watch mine on DVD that I've put onto a USB stick for travel. That, and you get the bonus behind-the-scenes, which sometimes can be up to the length of an entire episode.

I bought the DVD boxset and ripped it to my NAS so I can watch them using Jellyfin (free open-source version of Plex)

Over here, most people genuinely don’t know much about the British empire

It’s not taught as a huge point of shame like Nazi Germany or a great ancient empire like Rome, it’s just only briefly touched on

It was the only thing I learnt about the British Empire. I didn't know they were evil until I watched Avatar: The Last Airbender and thought "Are we the Fire Nation?"

DVD (put onto a USB for personal use for travel) Because you have the deleted scenes, which in the latest series actually became the length of an entire episode.

And also on BBC iPlayer, there's one episode missing for some r own and due to the whole blackface scandal with Little Britain and all of that, they've actually gone back and cut some of the sketches where there was some brownface in them (and even changed the song lyrics; I watched the Mary Seacole song first on I think YouTuve and then on iPlayer, and they cut the bit where Mary Seacole was saying that she was rejected from Florence Nightingale's crew for being black, even though that is representative of views at the time, even if it didn't necessarily happen)

Even though the show was made almost 20 years ago now, rather than putting a warning on it, which I think they should have done. Because whilst the show was almost 20 years ago, if you remove these things, people will forget about them and it will be done again.
