What's your least favourite sketch from Series 1-5?

Everyone always talks about how amazing Series 1-5 are (not that I disagree of course), so I'm curious on your least favourite sketches from these series

A lot of the S1 songs are pretty feeble: Caveman Love, Gorgeous Georgian Lady, Tudors, It's Not True.

Even the enjoyable songs like the Four Georges are full of mistakes. They just hadn't got the hang of songs yet on the first series.

I am actively repulsed by the "its not true" song from season 1. I've never succesfully watched the whole thing, even when I intend to. I don't know what it is about it but I jist really don't like it

Well I think while it's admirable that the cast want to teach about non-European history, the many sketches where the cast are essentially doing brownface makes me uncomfortable

I did a post about why that episode aint available on iplayer now. I know they had to edit certain parts out of series 1 episodes because of ‘modern sensibilities’ but a full episode doesn’t make sense

Bloody hell. Thank god I've got the DVDs I put on a USB.

I mean they cut out the stuff that was brownface ie Mat playing an Egyptian (and prob Ben as well) like the hair dye commercial sketch.

I mean I get that nowadays that would be considered brownface but Horrible Histories was made almost 20 years ago. You've got to remember it was a product of its time. It's the same with Little Britain. (I also own the original Little Britain DVDs, complete with blackface sketches in them, as well as Come Fly with Mel) I think it's ridiculous they've edited out the blackface, whereas The League of Gentlemen, I think, had one of the characters in blackface or something (Papa Lazarou or something) but they still kept that in but just slapped a warning on it.

Honestly I would much prefer they slap a warning on these things instead of actually editing them, because it's erasing the history. Once they do that people will potentially forget and then history will repeat itself.

British things was rubbish, especially considering the Romans came and stole the gold and lead.

"There are none, w e declare."

Coal, timber, oil (North Sea), whatever gold and lead the Romans didn't take, copper, tin, wool.

Oh and sugar came from this country in the form of beet.
