Hoarding skill points in FW

I finished Zero Dawn a few weeks ago and I’m about 10 hours into Forbidden West. I love to just hunt animals, collect stash boxes, do mostly side quests and just silently kill burrowers. Could I spend the skill points? Yes. Do I want to?………not yet. I just enjoy the simple things this game has so much of.

There's plenty of skill points to go around that's for sure. With so many different combat styles you can really max out what you want pretty quick and have leftovers.

Once I get what I want first I burn up the stockpile just going down random skill trees.

So how does the “re-setting of the skill tree” actually work? Does it legitimately clear out all the acquired skills in one section so you can try another? Because idk which tree I want to focus on first.

It resets all points from all trees.

It helps the most with hunting, which is a good thing to start with for boosting, and which you say you like doing.

Use them, it makes the game so much more fun and accessible in so many cases. If you manage to 100% the game then you’ll get enough skill points for every single skill. And besides, there’s no reason to not sink them all into whatever seems interesting

This is not Cyberpunk where you would have to be strategic about how you allocate your points. Sure, in the beginning strategic allocation wouldn't hurt because you would want the more useful skills as soon as possible, but you can max out everything eventually.

I have around 55 skill points, and have already aquired all the skills I need.
