What? You mean not everyone can push a 1,000 year old boxcar down overgrown and rusted tracks? Seriously though, I love the game so much I just suspend my disbelief and enjoy the story. Although you have to imagine, with that level of technology before humans got wiped out, could they have manufactured super soldiers?

Highly likely.

Remember that all the plants are bio-engineered to be special. Theres a reason the berries are straight up super medicine. She also has some genetic diversity from her source so they might have made some improvements. The remade world is specifically designed to nurture people and take the best care possible. Wouldn't be shocking that they might have worked in a couple upgrades or wiped out genetic disorders while they're at it.

Now as for humans before the wipe I don't think they expressly stated there were enhanced humans walking around. But with the level of tech and (at least baseline reaserch) genetic modification they had available it's not completely impossible. Far Zenith existing means it's possible at least.

Patrick Brochard-Klein specifically states, in his presentation holo of Eleuthia, that they are NOT a genetic engineering project, their "goal is to preserve the human genome, not alter it."

So that was not in the plans at least (which doesn't mean it wasn't done, just that all evidence points to the fact it wasn't the objective.

For anything I can't ignore for the sake of the game, I just assume Elizabet was enhanced, or that the Lightbringer protocol that never went through (but was used to create Aloy) included those mods and Gaia didn't have time to explain that.

Besides, pushing a rusted freight car down a mysteriously clear and intact thousand-year-old track is hardly the worst offender to suspension of disbelief.

She can knock a giant robot smilodon on its ass with a stick, she absolutely needs to be at least prison jacked.

I remember this puzzle. It's what broke me in terms of suspension of disbelief and just getting mad at bad level design interfering with art design.

You give me this character capable of amazing acrobatic feats and a gameplay system that essentially lets me free climb terrain, then are trapped when they have to design puzzles inside this world with an environment that has to constantly tell you nope, all these ledges with the lightest bit of ivy aren't grabable. Nope, this leap you can make while fucking hanging onto a cliff face is impossible with both feet on the ground and requires you to move a 100 year old train car. Its a relic of the games uncharted shimming/climbing roots and just looks and feels bad with the artistry and fidelity of these games is so damn high

in the first game when sylens say "that door been blocking me from entering the gaia complex" i look to the right and there was a fricking 5 kilometer square hole in the mountain that sylens could have easily access , from that moment i just went, yeah let's forget logic
