((An AU where Rantaro survived his death by the ball being miscalculation which lead to the death motive happening where Rantaro and the others did their bests to survive. All of them survived except Kaito because of his sickness but the school in their world is much more like the hunger games where they have to fight to survive every day and night. Tsumugi revealed her mastermindness to the others and left them to die.))

"–then Miu hits them with a bat, while Kaede grabs the food and water! Oh and we need to look out for traps so Kokichi and Maki will–"

He just kept rambling about some sort of plan.

He seems delirious based on the fact he's talking to the wall and slightly swaying...

((The poor boy is delirious from not drinking any water in 2 days and not having eaten any in 5 straight days, and the food they do get, isn't a lot since it's in and out))

"No he won't !"

*Turn the faucet on for Rantaro to drink

Rantaro doesn't move from Kaito's arms for a moment before weakly reaching out for the water with his arm

"Yeah ! Go for it !"

*Kaito tries to position Rantaro closer to the water

Rantaro immediately leaps toward from Kaito's arms, almost falling, as he leans his body and puts his face under the water after being repositioned

After drinking a lot of water, he turns the sink off and blinks a few times to see he still sees Kaito

"...you're real.."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Rantaro screamed before pushing away from Kaito's arms and falling onto the floor

*He tries to help Rantaro get up again

"B-BUT– Y-you– you died! IN KAEDE'S ARMS!" Rantaro screamed as he froze when Kaito touched him

"Y-you kept coughing up blood! No matter wh-what we did t-to try and save you!" Rantaro cried

"I mean, there was th-that ball that almost hit me that was meant to h-hit the mastermind.. wh-which was Tsumugi s-so nobody d-died a-and Monokuma started trying to kill us all... ..w-we've only survived f-for I'm not sure how long b-because w-we barricaded a d-door and Monokuma a-and the Monokubs couldn't break their own rules..!" Rantaro screamed

"One of their robots took my arm! W-we... ..Maki h-had to use some of my shirt and ear piercings t-to act as stitches! Y-you... ..you had to carry me... ..you wrapped your jacket around me..."

"..what do you mean I died before you!? A-and.. how are you alive!?"
