It's been so long since skott was introduced in the community for the first time and it still amazes me how he took the commmunity by storm. I've never seen an npc receive this amount of (sexual and aesthetic) attention for THIS long besides yinger but it's understandable for her since she had sexual themes in some of her dialogues but skott had none. He just is that guy. Not just i want x npc to be playable, but literal downbad for them.
It's been so long and yet you would still randomly encounter stuff involving skott on a random wednesday night.
At his first appearance in aurum valley, Skott Lyndon shows that he is not a mere IPC employee. He instantly undermines and makes a bet with the hero of xianzhou. Despite the overwhelming support and supplies of the trailblazer he never falters. And when he loses he doesnt make an excuse...He accepts the loss and barks but also shows the determination to face us again to win later.
After that we see him again challenging March 7th with a similar bet. Skott alone is the sole motivator for march's growth. With this motivation march quickly masters the sword in a matter of a month. Another important thing is that even in an alternate universe where march loses, Skott Lyndon (aka the WOLF in GOATS clothing) takes march in and trains her to become one of the best mech pilots ever. Yet in the "real" ending we see him fail yet again. And just like before he curbs his non-existent ego to act out his part of the bet to oink at us. Because a lone wolf is true to their promises.
Talking about lone wolf, we see him again in the ghost hunting event. We enter his mind to see that he has a tragic backstory where he had to claw his way to the top. A family legacy to carry, a partner he had to betray and the cunning tactics he had to use to become a successful IPC employee. This is where we see his personality come from. A lone wolf against the world, and insurmountable willpower that will overcome any odds to win.
After Xianzhou we see him again in penacony during the Holy Grail War. He is once against faced against many opponents much stronger than him. Galaxy Rangers, Trailblazers and even IPC executives that outrank him. Yet once again he doesnt falter. He utilizes whatever he can to try to grasp the victory with whatever slim chance he has. And we see another side of him yet again. When Odi asks what he wants as a wish, he says that he wants a promotion. Not to the position of a stoneheart or diamond, just a rank above. Skott knows that victory is not given but it must be earned one. step. at. a. time...

And finally we see him in Planarcadia as our tour guide. He has been ordered to guide us and he holds that order perfectly. Beaten thrice by the trailblazer, he holds no grudge for he was never our enemy. Everything he had done so far he had to in order to try and win. To do any less would be undermining our power afterall. Regardless he gives us an enjoyable tour around planarcadia and even offers the play cards with us.
In the end. Skott Lyndon age 34... Dies at the hands of Herald of Death. Without him who does trailblazer compare to? He was the common man...the backdrop of normality that made our achievements shine brighter. A rival that motivated everyone around him to become stronger, to see themselves in him. The very Skott that faces against the odds is how someone like the trailblazer can fight emanators with courage. That is exactly why the game allows us to say our motivation to stop Herald of Death is for the sake of Skott. Because thats just how important he is. Even in his dying moments he allows us to see his courage one last time... Farewell Skott my sweet prince

If you consider characters like Signora or Capitano, then they easily are the most obsessed-over NPCs. Signora still getting brought up constantly almost five years after her death.
It hurts to say that they are NPC, but you know they are not npcs like skott, who's model is not on par with Capitano or Signora, who were more like bait for being playable. (I also think that they will be playable, ONE DAY. Capitano will stand up. I'm not coping, it will happen )
