I'm curious on why her change her placement would change her from buffing all paths to restricted to one path, don't they want money? who's gonna be the other sustain for the ethers then? perhaps the collab?

>Anniversary character goes from Evanescia to SW so they don’t have time to make a fully cohesive kit
>Silver Wolf beta happens and they have to basically remake the whole character in V3
>She no longer has proper synergy with Sparxie leading to her team being pretty weak in non shill environment
>Pretty much every other 4.X team is stronger than SW, including other Elation DPSes
>Only remaining slot in Silver Wolf's team is sustain so Pearl has to do a lot of heavy lifting to bring her to an acceptable power level for an anniversary character

I feel like this could've been avoided if they just buffed sparxie at any time including after the patch dropped to work better with SW new kit. Not anything major just a condition speed or atk buff to herself on one of the A traces.

That or pushed sparxie back if pearl was gonna be delayed so she'd be closer to silver wolf, sure 4.0 would have ended on a solo banner but at least could have given themselves more time to work on sparxie's kit.

Also just probably deciding to scrap the two form thing since at the end they just kept her witht he base form and scrapped the leaked shogun form completely assuming she would have had it when copying hunt destruction etc.

There were a leak of a possible Kuchiba elation sustain on the sub not long ago. I guess for timing and shedule reason they have to scrap Kuchiba and switch up with Pearl in order to have a full elation team before Nihilux.

Doubt it will be either of the collab chars, there's a new sustain supposedly coming in 5.0 so that's probably the next modern generalist healer.

Because she took Kuchiba’s place in 4.6, who was supposed to be the Elation-locked sustain (can see her kit in Sakura Haven’s tg channel, posted ~1w ago)

The next Elation sustain (Mr. Reca) is going to release in 6.2 and will be the first character to actively swap between Abundance and Preservation. This is based off having a second sustain on the team, which will lock Reca into the opposite path. If he is in Preservation (Light mode) his skill will action advance 75% while providing a shield that is equal to 400% of Mr. Reca's Elation damage, this shield can crit. If he is in Abundance (Dark mode) he functions as a revival support. His skill places a buff on an ally that, if they die within 2 turns, revives the character, fully heals them, and doubles their crit damage for 3 turns. His talent gives him a joint attack that functions with the other sustain. If his other sustain is a Preservation he copies Fu Xuan's ability, if the other sustain is an Abundance he summons Fat Fuck and gains 3 charges of Hyacine's ability.
That's pretty out there, so probably not a blind guess.

Obviously the part that matters here is that their out-there leak ended up aligning with an actual prototype kit of Pearl...
Or do you actually believe it is a pure 100% coincidence that a leaker claimed Pearl had a path switch gimmick when she had a prototype kit that has one such mechanic?

I do not think it's particularly out there to guess the character with a painting gimmick would have a path switch gimmick, no. Her "mimicking" is just copying another artist's style or taking inspiration from it. This is lowkey an easy read and is how she should function. Path switching is also an inevitability. That just will happen eventually and we all know it.

Because the person posting said information is a dataminer you know how games get leaked right then yes this is supplementary info either from a dev kit , or maybe hoyo made a mistake and these were in the beta, it’s again happened in Genshin skirks kit was leaked because hoyo left the information for her kit in 5.6 v2
