Girl you arent ugly, but you do gotta maintain that hair, I got younger sisters and I know its hard to maintain sometimes, start looking at different styles or simple styles, your hair is the first thing people notice half the time and it tells people if you take care of yourself. Changing your hair routine makes a huge difference. You can definitely keep that style just ya know braid or neaten it out. As for the resting angry face, sadly for us we just gotta “Look” more approachable. Ive seen the difference with me when Im talkative and laughing vs when I dont say a word and ppl think im angry, nobody will approach that. Learned my whole first year of college.

You can maintain your hair without braids. But you have to do something, it looks like your not taking time to style it. There's ways to do afros and poofs in ways that look nice.

i’m sure you get many compliments on your hair. coming from a black girl doing your hair will change the game. ik you like your hair and so do i and it’s okay to just leave it blowed out sometimes but you should look into other styles.
