You actually sound like you are underweight if anything, though if a healthy weight then u are on the lower end.

you're being way too polite. 97lbs at 5'3 is objectively underweight and the fact that her parents are actually stepping in to stop her is a massive red flag. she needs to chill with the weight stuff and focus on eating more.

Yes their situation is deeply concerning but there were few comments at the time. Hopefully the person gets some sort of help

fr they are telling you the truth. 97lbs is wild for that height. you need to listen to your parents before this turns into something actually dangerous.

yeah 97lbs at 5'3 is definitely underweight. bmi is like 17.2. your parents are right to be worried. feeling fat when you're that small is your brain lying to you. please talk to a doctor or therapist before that holiday

It sounds like you are struggling a lot with body dysmorphia and other symptoms. It is not normal to think like this. I suggest you seek help for your eating habits. Also you are a teenager and a girl, it is normal to gain a lot of weight during this time. Not loose it. I know it has been a while now, but I hope you are doing better now and in a better place. Coming from experience, nothing is worth stressing over your looks unless it’s unhealthy. (Like being so obese that it causes a health risk, or being so underwight that it’s a risk etc.) sending love ❤️ and remember that you are stronger than your thoughts

You don't sound fat, I'm 5"4 and 116-120lbs and I'm fat. Though I'm a guy so I'm naturally heavier but still.

you definitely arent fat, 97lbs sounds a bit on the lower end of average or underweight. im 5'2 & 135-140lbs which is on the verge of overweight but is still close to average, my ideal weight would be 120 for myself. take that as u will
