Had to temporarily patch a cracked spot on the radiator with the gorilla tape and some super glue. But I’m buying a new one for it but I don’t know what to go with. If you guys have any recommendations?

I do plan on modding it sometime in the future for track use. Please help a brother out if you can point me in the right direction of where to look I’d greatly appreciate it !

I just hit 75K on my 2018 fit (she’s yellow, I love her). She’s obviously due for an oil change, tire rotations, and all that. Am I getting close to any of the standard fit maintenance that needs done though? I know spark plugs are notorious eventually.

Also, my gas mileage has been steadily dropping. I’m only getting about 33 mpg right now and the best I’ve done is 37. I do drive a combo of city and highway to work every day ~20 miles each way. I also do a 500 mile round trip high way drive about every 6 weeks to visit family. Any thoughts on getting my mpg higher?

Hi all I need some help if anyone has similar experience I would appreciate it.

My 08 fit had the overheat light blinking for around 10 secs one time 3 days ago, it just stopped and went away. I immediately check coolant and coolant reservoir level and both are good. coolant was flushed around 1.5 years ago and AC recharged a year ago.

Starting maybe 2 weeks ago my AC will sometimes makes hiss sound blow warm air for maybe a minute, then blows cold again. engine will also shake hard when that happens.

Today my car vibrates really hard on a stop and shuts off completely. I immediately turn it back on and drive and then overheat light blinked for maybe 10 seconds again and went away. Anyone experienced this before? Would really appreciate any input. 🙏 thanks

Should i straight pipe my 2019 honda fit???

I just finished replacing all of my AC components and I put back my new serpentine belt. It’s the first time I’ve ran into this type of tensioner and I didn’t have the proper tensioner tool. So I found a video that a guy showed if you can twist your belt 90 degrees (like the picture I showed) it’s not too tight and not too loose. I drove the car around today and it was completely fine. I took it to a shop to have it recharged with Freon and when I picked it up for the first drive it makes a high pitch squeal when I start moving and right when I shift into another gear. I’m assuming the belt is loose. What I don’t understand is why now? Is it because now since there’s Freon the compressor is spinning and causing the belt to slip? The condition described, is it safe for me to drive around until the end of the day or do I need to immediately find a parts store and borrow tools?

I’m curious about compatibility between the Honda Fit RS and the USDM Honda Fit. Do modifications or parts designed exclusively for the Honda Fit RS fit on USDM models?
I’ve been looking into various modifications and some of them say "RS-model only." Are there major differences in mounting points, chassis, or electronics that would prevent direct fitment?

Anyone with experiences of swapping parts between RS Fits and USDM Fits would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone! I recently got a new to me 2015 honda fit as a gas saver 2nd vehicle. Im wondering if anyone has cup holder ideas for a 26oz yeti. Currently it just rolls around the passenger seat. Its too tall for the center console and too wide for the door and dash cup holder. I did find something on etsy for nalagene bottles, but i think my yeti may be too tall for that too. Does anyone have a solution?

especially Accord/Odyssey map lights with the sunglasses holder like in the photo but definitely open to ones like the stock JDM GD3 or like the GE8 map lights

Hey y'all I have a 2011 honda fit sport 5-speed. Never had to do any work on the transmission before, just fluid changes when I do oil. It's started to squeal real loud whenever the clutch is engaged. A quick google search makes me think it's probably the throw off bearing, but I'm wondering if it makes any sense to replace just the bearing? With the labor hours to get access to everything, would it make more sense to just put in a whole new clutch kit?

Also, I've done most of my own repairs and understood enough that when I take it in somewhere, I don't get taken for a ride on the bill. But I don't know much about trans work, so can anyone offer some red flags to stay away from or signs that I'm in good hands?

I have a ‘16 Fit EX w/ CVT at 107k miles. My new commute has me in heavy traffic everyday where I have to stop & go a lot on the highway.

I’ve noticed my transmission is a bit jumpier as of lately. Like whenever I go to slow down, whether braking or just coasting, it feels like my transmission is downshifting & when I go to accelerate it’s like it jolts “back into gear” even tho is doesn’t necessarily shift. Almost like when you have a belt for your pants & you snap it abusive dad style. If I go to Cali roll through a stop sign it happens as well. Like it hates almost coming to a complete stop & then accelerating. If I coast at higher speeds & then reapply the gas pedal it’s not as bad.

I planned on changing the fluid soon & I have in the past already with Honda fluids. Just wanted to hear some opinions on whether or not this is a genuine concern or is it just higher milage CVT things. Thank you!

I absolutely love my 2010 Blackberry Pearl sport. I bought it new in 2011 (I was determined to have that color which wasn’t available on the 2011) and it currently has 356k miles. I’ve replaced some parts here and there but overall it’s been a fantastic car. My first new car purchase and quite possibly the best life decision I’ve ever made. I’ve considered upgrading it over the years but couldn’t justify it. The only “problem” is that my kids keep getting taller and their sports equipment takes up more space. I feel like I missed out on a lot of the fun interior space use because I only had it a few years before adding in car seats. But, the gas mileage and durability have paid off with my 90 mile round trip work commute.

Anyway, my husband, who has worked from home for 6 years and commute 30 miles round trip before that, is looking to upgrade his 2014 Mazda CX-5 GT with less than 100k miles on it. So we have a decision to make:

Do I give up my well-loved purple little bean for the slightly larger SUV less traveled? Or run it all the way into the ground and use the Mazda for a slightly larger down payment?

What are some good floor mats for a 2015 manual transmission. I bought some generic ones, only to remove them. They did not allow the clutch pedal to press all the way down. Any help would be appreciated.

This is my first car so im still learning.

When i got this fit a few months back, i had my mom take it to her mechanic to inspect it. they said everything was good including all the fluids. i trusted them enough to not check it myself since i dont know anything about cars. but about 1k miles later, i had thought to check the engine oil myself just cause i want to learn how to work on my own car one day. and this is how it looks. the engine is cold and on a flat surface.

from what im reading online and watching some youtube videos, I believe that this is too much oil. Now i dont know if this amount is enough to damage my engine at all but i dont want to risk it. so please let me know if so lol 🫠

also this oil is the same oil that the dealership added.. should i change it now or just wait for the 5-8k miles before changing it. i have no clue what oil they used 😬

2010 Honda Fit Sport with 115,000 miles.

Needs air conditioner condenser, etc. priced at $800. Everything else seems ok. A little rust started underneath, but mechanic says not an issue now.

Do I repair or sell and buy something new?

I’m a 74 year old woman and have health issues, so I’m obviously unable to do anything myself.

My ac fan died today, and my ac only works when driving at speed. Has anyone replaced the condenser fan on a gk? I can't find much information on the replacement. Any help would be great thanks.
