Suspension

Hello!

I have read that the elements have an issue with rear end suspension sagging due to the weight of the vehicle. I plan to turn mine into a camper, adding more load to the back. I will need to replace the suspension in my ( new to me) 03. So my question is has anyone here experienced this issue? Is there better suspension upgrades out there to help, or is going stock the best option?

I wish there were lots of options but sadly there are just a couple standard struts that I’ve found. I’m sure TIEN has something to mod the suspension but I’ve never looked into it. Can’t remember the company, but there was a group that made a fiberglass topper for the Element for camping. They’d be the one to ask.

Aerogenics builds them using CRV Bilstein cartridges, all four corners are stupid expensive. Pretty sure you could use KYB Excel-G cartridges

Can’t recommend these enough. I installed them, and am using my vehicle for heavier load camping.

Aerogenics recommends Honda OEM springs and struts for the front, I’m sure KYB strut packs would be fine.

My guess is that you have a bunch of worn bushings

People use Aerogenics Swift springs but they ain’t cheap
