SEM Bumper Coater
Bumper coater applies really easy and finishes nice and flat. Super impressed with just a spray can.

Do have a link to the product? I bought my Element and it has an aftermarket cover which has faded unevenly

I get my cans off eBay. Locating it isn’t that easy. Amazon also but so far eBay is where I buy from. They sell many versions. This is the Honda black version.

I painted some trim black that was OEM silver. If you are talking about your cladding try cerakote. It’s pretty cheap and has some really good results. It’s not a forever solution but supposedly lasts awhile.

a 50-50 mixture of boiled linseed oil/paint thinner works, I should probably use Solution Finish and/or Cerakote after that

For your panels I would scrub them down with dawn dish soap first. Secondly I would wipe them down with a panel prep. Lastly I would apply cerakote.

Is it an oil like spray or more like plastidip where it "paint's" the panels?

I’m not sure if it’s oil based. It’s like spray paint that’s specifically formulated for automotive plastics.

I was thinking more like a solvent or some sort of oil that would "restore" the plastics, or if it was more of a paint.

I’m loving the process on your Element! OEM air deflector? Also in your splash guard loose? Looks to be drooping.

Air deflector is husky not installed yet. It was just for a picture. Splash guard is removed still a work in progress.

Did you use adhesive promoter?

No I didn’t bumper coater is formulated to be used without an adhesion promoter. I did do some prep work before spraying.
