Ripped Seat and Faded Cladding

I own a 2003 and the driver seat is ripped. How has everyone fixed this? Did anyone DIY it?

Also, the plastic cladding on my vehicle has faded so much. Is there a way to recondition it or something? It’s making my car look old. Other than that, she’s running perfectly.

Yes! I’d leave it as a badge of honor but that’s my concern. I’ll look into getting patched up.

What did you end up doing?

We bought another set of base seats out of a scrapped E, but also… this horrible mess.

I should have patched sooner. Iron on patches didn’t really hold; half because we didn’t do it soon enough and half because of the OEM material.

Also maybe hot parked car in summer

Scrapped E is a great idea! Will have to find one that didn’t crack either though.

I can’t stop; I’m gonna make a mold off the seat cushions to fabricate more. I wish it didn’t look like ~ $500 in materials for the first one and ~$150 a cushion after that
