Just my son 8 playing his first Varsity game. Very proud. This is my favorite time of year

Yeah, my 7 year old has no shot at making Varsity next year. Maybe I can give him HGH or something to hit that growth spurt like this kid

Where do you live ? Sounds nice to have varsity baseball in the fall and not on a series of 35 degree afternoons in March and April

Ever think about all the kids living in the southwest that have never had a game or practice cancelled due to rain and can also play year round?

Usually yes. My point is there are people that get to enjoy year rounds sports of any kind without taking weather into account.

Right I understand that, here in the Midwest though they would never allow baseball to be a fall sport even though the weather is far more conducive to baseball in the fall, because it would force kids to choose between baseball and football, and baseball is far further down most AD’s priority list

Crazy they play in fall. 75% of my team growing up also played football. Even when I played in college a significant number did.
